Lets have a discussion here:

Steemit, are you in for the money or community?

I'll be 100% honest here: At first I joined for the $$$, I just thought it was a place where people post things just to be rewarded money. I thought I'd see a lot of "shitpost" from people with a lot of followers.

What I realized is that the community on Steemit is actually very friendly and that a lot of people take the time to help each other. I see a lot of articles with interesting discussion within it and in my mind this is the real reason that Steemit is working.

What about you guys, be honest too, are you on Steemit for the extra money? To explore your hobby's? just be social?

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:
