Is it possible that in the middle of the incessant search for truth and knowledge that has characterized humanity, we have forgotten the keys to reach a truly profound understanding of our existence and the cosmos?
It seems like over time we’ve forgotten how to look at the universe the way ancient civilizations did, from within, where trough methodical observation they understood that all existence is about the unified diversity in motion, and not just that, they embraced knowledge in all its splendor from medicine to architecture, with technology that remains unknown until this day.
Many things have changed ever since, humanity was divided and controlled, knowledge was suppressed and it led us to very dark periods, but eventually we were reborn from the ashes of ignorance and took control of our destiny. Knowledge set us free, and from that point we started to build the foundations for the future that is our present, not so long ago, we were the utopia of visionaries.
Today we seek for the missing clues to make a quantum leap that allows us to finally understand the mysteries of the universe.
The word “universe” refers to the unity of diversity and that’s the main foundation that builds up everything around us, the visible and the invisible. All there is, including ourselves is the unification of the diverse, conceived with such mathematical precision that its own perfection arises the biggest questions of science.
As we change ourselves we change our world and we have increased our potential as humanity through creation, which is indeed the essence of the cosmos. We began to look at our own cosmic reflection in everything we have created, from tools to software it’s all man’s attempt to improve, expand and know itself.
During this time of massive transformation we must promote a more integrated vision of learning and creation in order to reach a new level in the scale of evolution. Across the information era data was distributed and transformed, as it happened once when the Big Bang made everything explode into existence.
To achieve a significant transformation we have to reconnect what has been divided. Different approaches must unite so knowledge can be truly universal, the key to understand the unexplainable and transcend the apparent boundaries of contemporary science is to open ourselves to the possibility of new visions and ways of learning.
The advanced knowledge in the ancient world is mostly visible due to their megalithic and excessively fascinating architectural accomplishments, as well as the art and writings that still remain. In the ancient world art was not considered a distant discipline from science, it was in fact the perfect channel to explore and study the most rational and mathematical wisdom, it was a way to register what had been researched, a way to teach and learn.
In the ancient world the concepts of geometry, sound and waves were deeply understood and considered principles of the laws of creation, so art became for them an instrument for the observation of science. This system of creation and study (art and science) was meant to find answers and share their learnings in a more universal way using the language of shapes.
Today most people consider there are no similarities between art and science, but in fact scientist create as much as artists, and artists study our existence as well, so they’re looking for the same, they’re searching for the truth beyond the visible world.
Science was the great muse that triggered one of the most relevant episodes in art history, abstraction, which explored the phenomena of light and time intending to make visible the main elements that build up the universe.
It was the scientific background of artists like Victor Vasarely what inspired the new vision of art in the XX century where geometrical abstraction became an universal way to explain and make visible complex ideas around science, laws of physics and our own nature, all synthesized through shape and color which is the language of the unconscious.
Many scientists among history like Leonardo da Vinci successfully combined the scientific study with art creation, a system that allowed him to visualize possibilities and technologies ahead of his time, drawing the basis for modern technology.
It’s the integration of rationality and creativity what we see in the vestiges left behind by the great visionaries of history, and maybe that could be a key to find the missing pieces of the puzzle of human knowledge.
Creation in all its variants allows us to observe and study what’s invisible to the eyes, lets us see with the mind and the unconscious, art might be in fact the only evidence we have of the existence of other realities where only the mind can go.
