From Homo Sapiens to Homo Deus

A great analysis! And it is really terrifying in a way that we already submitted some parts of our lives to algorithms. Some decision-making of the vast majority of population is indeed already computed for. The small percentage which at least knows what's going on behind the algorithms probably subconsciously submits to some. With the emergence of IoT there will be even more information available for algorithms to derive conclusions from. I believe that if we want the future AI to work for us and not vice versa, the humankind should distance itself from capitalism (including marketing :D) and profits as a force that drives most of the (influential) people forward. If we don't, for me, we will inevitably drive ourselves to destruction.
