The above picture is of a church I found while driving around. I knew it would be difficult to capture the Milky Way behind it with all the light pollution but I figured it would be worth a shot. A good way to get this shot would be to know someone who could turn the lights off for you and then take two shots, one with lights off and one with them on.
Right now Arizona is reporting single day COVID-19 records and people are advised to social distance and wear masks. I am very lucky to have such a solitary hobby that allows me to continue doing it without any interruption. I never thought I would see something like this hit so close to home and at the same time have an impact on everyone in the world. Its impact on the economy has been devastating for many. Its nice to get away if only for a night to connect with nature and the universe.
I found this lovely tree behind the church and I just had to take its photo. This is about four shots spliced together for a panorama.

Very gorgeous starry night! Your pictures are very beautiful. I especially like the last picture. The tree is amazing with the lights in the background. Well done!
You were very lucky that you can go out at night and connect with nature and the universe like these. ;)
