Arithematics is most interesting part of study. Some time we solve some question very easily but some are really not easy and understanble. I am going to give you some question first try yourself if your mind block then try to see my solution.

Percentage Questions-

Percentage is an easy chapter and almost every person of world know something about percentage. I m going to give you a question and solution which is shortest ever. If you have more shortest solution then give comment your solution. It helps other people as well as me.

Question-

Fresh fruit contains 68% water and dry fruit contain 20% water. How much dry fruits can be obtained from 100 Kg of fresh fruit.

Shortest Solution-

First we convert percentage value into fraction

sol.png

(Pulp is 8 in fresh fruit because the water is 68% of 100 which is equal to 17. So 25-17=8 . Similarly Dry fruit pulp value obtained)

Now the condition is that quantity of pulp is same on both fresh and dry fruit because when fresh fruit dry then only there water dry and pulp remain same.

So now we have to make equal the value of both pulp value. So we multiply the dry fruit value to 2 so that pulp will become equal.

Now we can see pulp is equal in both.

Now according to question 25 which is 100% fresh fruit is is 100Kg

So

100/25=4

1 Unit=4 Kg

Now the pulp value total in dry fruit is 10 unit

So

10unit *4 =40kg.

So answer is 40 Kg.

Profit and Loss-

Profit and Loss related to our life and we always and everywhere calculate our profit and loss. I am going to show you a question which solved by you but in a long way. I have very short way.

Question-

A person sells two machines at price of 396$. On the first machine he gain 10% profit. On second he loses 10%. What is his profit or loss in his whole transaction.

General Solution which comes in your mind-

You took both and one time calculate 10% loss and second time 10% profit . Then after adding both value you check the percentage and then you get your final answer.

Shortest Solution-

Let

a= 10% profit
b= 10%loss

so we can write

a= +10%

b= -10%

Profit or loss % = a+b(a*b/100)

+10+(-10)(+10*-10/100)

-1%.

Key Point-

In this situation always loss happens. No profits.

Answer is 1% loss.

Question-

If I would purchase 11 articles in 10$ and sold 10 articles in 11$ then calculate the profit percentage.

Shortest Solution-

so.png

Now the articles are same.

So profit percentage is

Profit %= (sell price-cost price)*100/cost price

(121-100)*100/100

21%.

Answer is 21% profit.

If you have any short solution then you can comment us.
