Nice article, @christinaa ! I'm curious if you have ever seen Tesla's (Nikola not the car company) patent on transferring energy through the ground? He theorized that certain frequencies could be resonated through the Earth, and be picked up at any point a ground was connected.

I'm no physicist , so I'm curious if this is still theoretically possible, or if science has uncovered some other fact that prevents this transfer of energy using the Earth as a conductor. What do you think?

Well, theoretically u can transmit energy using earth as a conductor... Still u would need at least a single phase wire running parallel to the ground to make a capacitance effect.. And the biggest issue is only very low frequencies can travel far using the earth as conductor. Cz earth's resistance is too high to act like a regular conductor.
