What Is Nipah Virus?
Nipah virus this a disease that naturally infects fruit bats but it can also infect other domesticated animals, as well as humans. This disease was first identified in the year 1999 during the outbreak among pig farmers in Malaysia and Singapore.
Cause of Nipah virus.
Any contact with bats, this disease can cause inflammation of the brain (Encephalitis). Encephalitis this an inflammation of the brain which is caused by any usual infection of change in the body's own immune system mistakenly attacks the brain tissue.
Symptoms of Nipah virus.
There are different symptoms when someone is infected which include:
- Fever.
- Headache.
- Drowsiness.
- Disorientation and Confusion.
- After all, this the infected person may fall into a coma within 48 hours.
Prevent.
There's no drug and no vaccine to prevent it. The best treat is to stay far in contact with bats.
