Do you have the question in your mind about:how do i make a choice of a solar panel for my solar energy work? Then i have a clear answer for you which applies to any part of the world you might be living in right now.
Solar Panel Defined
A Solar Panel (which is also known as a Photovoltaic(PV) Panel) is used to convert light from the sun into electricity that can be used to power electrical devices also known as electrical loads in the house, office or industrial enviroment.
Types of Solar Panels
I shall be writing about two types of solar panels here.
We have the Monocrystalline and Polycrystalline solar panel. Mono and Poly Crystalline panels are both types of solar cells which are made from crystalline silicon.
How Solar Panel Cells are Made

We must know that both monocrystalline and polycrystalline solar panel serves same function in the overall pv system. They capture energy from the sun and turn it into electricity.
You must know the key difference between the two solar panels before you make a purchase.
Monocrystalline Panel
This type of panel is More Expensive,More Efficient, Best for use in the North where you have more sunlight and long hours of sunlight.
Polycrystalline Panel
This type of panel is less efficient, less expensive, best use in south west or area where you have less sunlight.
Both monocrystalline and polycrystalline can be used anywhere, but to get value for your money you then place location as a factor in choosing your solar panel
Now solar panels are usually rated in watts(W)/voltage(V). So we have the list below;
65W/80W/100W/125W/150W/160W/12V
200W/250W/300W/24V.
You can easily combine various numbers of panel( in either series or parallel combination) to get the total wattage/voltage you need to charge your battery and power your load.
Solar panels are usually DC voltage devices.
Behind the panel is a positive(+) and negative(-) terminal.
If you have any question about a solar panel please comment below. I will respond and give answer.

There's really not much difference in today's monocrystalline and polycrystalline solar panels as the technology had seen a lot of improvements in recent times. Good job. Thanks for sharing.
