SteemSTEM Distilled #122

in steemstem •  5 years ago  (edited)
This is most probably one of the latest editions SteemSTEM distilled before the fork, as can be read from many places already now. Anyways, @lemouth is still there to cook up this distilled of the best SteemSTEM posts of last week.

For those who do not know what SteemSTEM is, please take a look here or come say hi on Discord or in the Steem Chat.

Our top choices

Learned Responses, Complex Learning and the Work of Wolfgang Kohler and Jane Goodall

This week we shed light on this post from @loveforlove where the work from Kohler and Goodall on chimps, in the context of learning and the associated complex responses, is discussed. Topics like habituation and conditioning are approached, as well as more involved social behaviours and observational learning.

Medical procedure "Paracentesis"

We are happy to share with you, week after week, another medical procedure depicted in its greatest details thanks to @anaestrada12. This week, she discusses paracentesis that is a common practice in emergency services to diagnose peritonitis and for therapeutic purposes in cases of stress ascites.

Beautiful selection....
Despite the odds, steemstem still thrives

More Grace and strength to the management.

We will continue, always, in some way :)

Thank you, @lemouth

How did I miss the article on chimp behavior? Looks fascinating. Thank you for your work and continued leadership.
