SteemSTEM Distilled #25

in steemstem •  7 years ago

Welcome to the 25th issue of SteemSTEM Distilled, a bi-weekly curation effort by the members of the @steemstem team.

SteemSTEM is a community driven project which seeks to promote well-written and informative Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics posts on Steemit. The project involves curating STEM-related posts through upvoting, resteeming, offering constructive feedback, supporting scientific contests, and other related activities.

For more details, a recent update on the steemSTEM can be found here, and a not so recent one there. Moreover, if you ask yourself about what it means to be part of steemSTEM, please check here.

Our team scours the platform for original and quality content.

After working through thousands (literally!) of STEM-related posts and upvoting more than 150 that we deemed to be worthy, we proudly present you our top 6 handpicked choices for this Monday-Wednesday period.

A few words about the nomination process

For the sake of transparency we feel we need to clarify how our nomination process works; each issue is compiled by certain members of the SteemSTEM community. This mid-week's editorial team was comprised of @ruth-girl.

The editorial team chooses their favorite posts for the week and each issue is the result of their joined effort. In order to keep the process fair, posts written by the editorial team are excluded from the nomination process.

Don't be discouraged if you didn't make it on this issue. The competition is harsh and there is always a next time :)

All curation rewards earned will be used to fund @steemstem project functioning and activities.

See you all next Monday!

excuse me senior !!!
upvote newpot and follow me

No spamming por favor! :)

Hello, I would like to inform you that asking for upvotes and spamming your own articles is frowned upon by others, and will not get you positive results. Discuss the topic at hand appropriately and you will gain followers and upvotes over time. If I see improvement in your commenting behavior I would be more than happy to add you to my daily UBI project, where you will receive an upvote from me every day, as long as you do not spam. Thank you.

Also, in regards to the steemstem list, I think that some nations... won't name any, hehe, should stop subsidizing the production of fructose for the benefit of society as opposed to a few producers and conglomerates.

I am sorry senior

The article by @highonthehog was really interesting to read. In-fact it was something i needed to read. I am just half finished with the article. Just came here to write this message. I am going back to finishing the post.

Congrats, guys :)

This is of no doubt an excellent choice.

congrats to the featured authors especially @gbonna, for the wonderful article "What May Happen to The Earth When The Sun Dies". But the summary of it all is that if our sun dies, the earth will completely freeze over, and life will come to an end

Absolutely!

Life on earth will end, and life in other planets in our solar system will be extremely difficult due to the absence of the Sun.

The task for humanity is to locate a planet outside the Milky Way that can support life.

Wow, thank you for sharing my article, I am honored! :)
And congrats to all the others as well!

good job , keep on going with this

congrats to the picked post writters

Congratulation to all of u ..... Good work i personally appreciate ur work and steemstem for their hardworking .

This is the first time I hear about steemstem. Looks like a great initiative to me! Directly encouraging ppl to write great and Bette in-depth content! Awesome, credits also to the curators involved!

Great selections. There couldn't have been any better choices. Kudos to the team!

@eurogee

It is a beautiful collection. I like @agbona's on what could happen when our Sun dies. My father used to tell me about those things when I was between eight and ten. He would always end it with, 'Don't worry. We won't be here when it happens.' He never bothered to mention where we would be, though.

Hey @churchboy, I appreciate the feedback. Sequel to the conversation with your dad, am afraid humanity my seize to exist on earth, due to the extreme changes that our solar system will experience due to the death of the Sun.

Humanity's survival will largely depend on our ability to relocate to other planets that can support life outside the Milky Way.

It's a tough challenge, but it's my believe that man will survive.

Thank you for replying. Well, I hope we do.

Congratulations

Congratulations!.

Keep up the good work @steemstem

Great work! Congrats to all!👏✨😊

Good job, and still waiting to be noticed with my math based posts ;)

I love steemit....... steemit is the best of all other social media...I like it....

Congratulations to all the authors! I just joined Steemit last week and I am still a minnow learning how to swim. I am seeing examples of good and interesting posts that I hope to emulate. I welcome constructive criticism from anyone who reads my posts or follows my "Unpublished Data" blog while I learn to create nicely written and formatted posts. I also welcome any suggestions on how to gain a following.
Thanks!
