A show of colors
I'm no artist (yet) but I love art. I like to be creative (or I try to be) and I believe there's no right or wrong way to create art, so I usually doodle, sketch and play with colors on a variety of random things. This time I painted on my shirt. I have a thing for recycling and redesigning old materials, and I'm fond of designing my shirts. This is one way of expressing my own kind of art.
Process
The unfinished thought. I've already started painting my shirt weeks back using fabric pens and paint but I haven't found the impression that would fit it's finishing touch. I thought of leaving it as is but it seemed lacking. Coincidentally, I came upon Steem Summit's Call for Art Submissions and so I sought to finish it.
The Idea. Originally, I just wanted it to come off as a feel good artwork; something that would give off good vibes through its colors, thus the colorful clouds and raindrops. Subsequently, I thought of splashing a deeper expression into it and so I whisked lines to give the idea of evaporating thoughts, which will in turn become clouds, and gave it color.
The colorful finish. I played a bit more with the colors to complete the clouds. I squeezed some more fabric paint and hung the shirt to let the paint drip so it would have an effect of continuity.
A show of colors. Same with digitizing an artwork on paper, I scanned and enhanced it but I opted not to do further editing to preserve most of its raw appearance (which is evident on the cut of the shirt 😆). And so I present to you,
Have a colorful day and a life full of colors! 😊
