The main difference between two software’s is applications price. Android is an open market software. One can buy any software except few without paying a single penny but on the other side in iOS, one have to pay the price of application which he/she wants to download. 

Not all but maximum application available at the iOS application store is not free. Here enter our software freak brothers. They introduce the feature which has called Jailbreaking. One can jailbreak his/her cell phone to explore more applications. The best thing is about this feature is, most of the applications are being free.

Although iPhone is beautiful, elegant and easy to use the phone at the same time it is a bit expensive to use if you want to use it with full application features. When you jailbreak your phone, then it makes possible to remove all the restriction imposed by the Apple itself on the customers. In addition to above, most people jailbreak their iPhone to violate the contract with the network provider company. 

The question is, why it is necessary to jailbreak the iPhone when you want to use it on a network other than the native one? 

Because It becomes necessary to jailbreak your iPhone if you want to change your network while you are still in the contract with the company. moreover, Apple gives you the defaults apps. One cannot use other apps of iOS which is not approved by the Apple store. However, by jailbreaking your cell phone enables you to use whatever the apps you like. You can download apps other than default apps.

Foregone are the reasons which persuade a person to jailbreak his/her iPhone. But I must say, it is not necessary for an iPhone user to use the jailbreak feature. iPhone itself is a complete feature phone. Whatever app you require must available at the app store. The only hurdle is, sometimes you have to pay some dollars to buy it. 

To conclude, 

in my view it is not a necessity for an iPhone user to make his/her phone jailbreak but I suggest you do this as it will eradicate all hurdles which restrict you to explore the iOS software features.
