In this article I will be going through how you can achieve changing your I/O quickly in RSLogix 500. This is a very useful tactic to battling the ever changing mind of the engineer whom decides it is time to move the I/O of an existing machine.
In my case, it all stems off the addition of some Pilz magnetic door locks we have added to our RFM machinery. Instead of dropping the new components into open spare I/O locations, the decision was made to rearrange the machines current I/O structure so the added components would appear next to each other in the wiring schematic. Joy...
Anyhow here is a nice quick way of flopping your I/O around...
