)Six Flags Great America
I know I am a day late on this but bare with me for it! As soon as I saw that the Statewars topic for the day was favorite attractions for the state, my mind immediately went to one of my favorite theme parks. I know people from California and Florida may bring up how much better Disney is and what not, but honestly I put them in different classifications. Nothing beats heart racing massive roller coasters instead of the more calmer rides at Disney. Well I guess it depends on what kind of mood I am in before I get into that. I know other states have Six Flags too, but I've been to a few and nothing beats Six Flags Great America in Gurnee! This Six Flags is about 45 minutes northwest of Chicago if you were curious on location.
The Raging Bull
I thought it would be pretty cool to talk about my favorite roller coaster to go on when I'm at Six Flags too! Everyone in the Chicago-land area is familiar with the Raging Bull, since it is one of the most popular rides at the amusement park. Just look how HUGE that drop is from the picture above. That slow ascent up to that near vertical drop still makes my heart sink almost every time. The picture really doesn't do it justice for how truly incredible it is when you walk up to it in person. I remember being so scared to ride it as a kid, and then feeling SO SO proud of myself when I finally gained the courage to go on it.
If you ever do decide to come to the Chicago-Land area then I would definitely recommend checking out this theme park! Its actually been about 2 years now since I've went, so this post reminded me that I should really get going soon :).
I love roller coasters!! We have a six flags in Virginia, so not too far! I love it and feel like about 12 when I go. :)

Believe it or not my wife and I went there last year for our "honeymoon" we have a 2 year old at home and due to planning a last minute wedding I didn't have a lot of leftover vacation time so we just had a 1 day honeymoon with plans to do something bigger in the future. It was definitely a lot of fun and the first time I've done a coaster where you lay down and ride.

I haven't been on a roller coaster in years! We have a Six Flags here in Georgia but I'm sure yours is better. I do have lots of fun memories from going as a kid with my best friend!

I adore rollercoaasters! Have been in Saint Peterburg in "Divo ostrov" park and in Europa Park in Germany. Amazing experience! I can recomend you Europa Park if you are ever coming to Europe and especially going to Germany!
