SteemUSA - Monday Photography Challenge - Eagles taking a break

Yesterday on the 11th was the first snowfall for us. It has been pretty warm today, the three inches of snow we got is not completely gone away, but it is melting. Just makes for dangerous driving conditions for those areas that may still be below freezing.

The Eagles are returning slowly, I noticed some on our drive friday. In late February we got a nice blues sky day, and a lot of roosting/flying Eagles. I am looking forward to getting more pictures of them as I have become a bit more familiar with my camera and its various settings.

Damn thats awesome! Is that 5 eagles up in the trees? I remember your wife shots from earlier back in the IFC and they were incredible as well!

Yes, same area, different day I think. It is a good spot close to the end of winter to get eagle pictures.

That's awesome! I hope to come to Alaska one day. My next big goal is to to the Pacific Crest Trail if you've ever heard of it!!?

Amazing to get a shot of not one but a group of eagles. U&R

It is a nice place during the right time of year to get group shots of Eagles.

Love those Eagles...

How cool, so many of them! Is it normal such concentrations?

In that area yes, they are kind of like seagulls, they hang out at the dump. Anywhere from 10 to 30 birds at once in the late winter end of feb, beginning of march

Not good feeding habits... but really nice way to see those beauties! We have some raptors scouting dumps here unfortunately as well.
