Steemvoter Guild: "Nominate-a-Friend" for the Guild Vote (Tuesday June 13)

in steemvoter •  7 years ago  (edited)

Previous winning post - SEO 101: How to Optimize Your Steemit Content for Search Engines - SEO Tutorial Series - # 01 by @princewahaj

This post did really well without our guild vote, sitting at $446 before we voted, but the crowd has spoken and nominated it for the guild vote to rocket-launch it into trending with a value of a whopping $1,523.00 showing the power of our Steemvoter guild community.

@princewhaj a SEO expert and in his SEO 101 blog post series, he describes in this latest post the best way to optimise your Steem posts for web searches, that is a brilliant and very necessary to give Steem posts more exposure out in the wild of search engine territory, to bring more users to Steem through maximising search engine visibility of posts on the Steem platform. Well done and best of luck @princewhaj!

Now on to today's nominations...

The "Nominate-a-Friend" Steemvoter (SV) Guild program.

So how does it work? Simple ... reply with a comment to this post with the link to another Steemian's post you think deserves the daily Steemvoter guild upvote, you are welcome to motivate in the reply why you think they deserve it.

The reply with the highest upvote $ value will be the winner and the post nominated in that reply will receive the guild upvote, which as you may have seen from previous posts, is a generous upvote from over 500 guild members, giving $100 dollars or more to the author depending on starting value.

Please make sure your nomination follows these guidelines:

Basic Guidelines

  • You cannot submit your own post or that of your other related accounts that you own or share ownership in, if you are found or reported to do this and substantially verified, your and your related accounts will be blacklisted from future guild vote eligibility.

  • No religious, NSFW, racist, trolling, fake news or inappropriate posts will be considered, in which case runner's up will be selected. @steemvoter has the final word as to which post is selected for the daily vote.

  • We will not vote the same author in a seven-day window.

  • Cut-off time: We will choose the highest value comment nomination within 48 hours of this post becoming active. Please only submit posts that are still within their 7 day voting window, and allow enough time for the guild vote to be done before their payout window closes.

  • This is not about curation rewards for the guild members and getting in early on the vote etc, it is purely to reward the deserving author.

  • @steemvoter will consider this a free market experiment and we will facilitate the voting of the post that the community wants voted, without checking for PLG of content, photos and artwork. At our discretion, blatantly inappropriate posts will not be voted on however.

  • This is a beta guild project and terms are subject to change at any time.

Let's make Steem great ... together!!

I would like to nominate @varunsangwan for his very insightful post on Bitcoin's history.

Link to the post : https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@varunsangwan/the-history-of-bitcoin

Here author talks about the earlier days of Bitcoin, even when Bitcoin had no existence.

Author stars from the year 1977 when the roots of Bitcoin slowly started to grow.

Then we go through the first block, first transaction, first exchange rate , mining difficulty... And the post ends on this month when Bitcoin is on it's highest peak.

Conclusion, its must read for every crypto enthuasit.

Congrats, your nomination was selected for the guild vote! Their post should be voted on by our guild within the hour.

This post received a 47% upvote from @randowhale thanks to @varunsangwan! For more information, click here!

Thank you @ businesswri

:)

sorry your suppose to vote up top @businesswri where it says $7.75
thanks

Just voted for @Road2Wisdom. As someone who is often answering questions and pm's, I appreciate seeing her not only do the same in chat rooms, but also able to knock out meaningful and interesting posts like this one. It's a hot topic, a chunky debate. Gonna repeat this on her post: but I sure hope robots don't replace humans. Who gonna do the standup comedy?
.
And thanks @businesswri for looking out for peeps. I seen you round. You do the good fight. Appreciates!

Thank you @jacobts for the kind words and support. Cheers

Thanks again I'm trying here

I find it funny in the next one they are givng away more prizes what was wrong with this one my vote was one of the highest in steemvoter in all the weeks. please

You know I am here to support @road2wisdom! I threw down one of my votes as well! I am here a little late but I hope that doesnt hurt much.

Thanks it's ok I looked at most of all the other steemvoters and this is a record for voting. It's all politics anyway. I have the highest paying post as of now. But everytime I get to first they unvote and revote the first place person. Whatever thanks for the nomination anyway. I learned a lot. Is there a second and 3place winner? Or just first?

thank you @sinned for the help and support

Yea thanks for the nomination anyway @businesswri much appreciated. Mindhunter and acidyo said it best. thanks for the support everyone.

Thank you @rohan-shaji

Great post!

Thank you

People are using all kinds of weird things on here to game the system - whaleshares, Facebook ads, sock puppet accounts ... hell anything and everything! Such a hustle going on on this platform these days!! The abuse needs to stop!!

thanks again for the nomination

Completely Sheryl. I agree. I've seen many competitions and nominations on here ruined by voting bots and all kinds of other variants!

goodluck

I can't delete my post, as you can't delete a post after 5 mins, but I edited it to say 'Great post' instead ;) Do let me know how your feedback with @thecryptodrive goes??

someone already nominated me you need to upvote the link above that businesswri put

Also DONE! :)

Thank you for your vote

80% of my voting is done by hand - including all your posts - the other 20% is done on https://steemvoter.com/ for my favourite top whales who post good content :)

P.S. Holy coo! My comment upvote is now worth $0.13 to you! My voting power has recharged during my vacation transit :)

nice post, i'll reesteemit it

Cool idea, let me browse prior to my nomination. Anyone has some insightful articles ?

Cut-off time: We will choose the highest value comment nomination within 48 hours of this post becoming active.

Is this really the best way to make the decision about who wins? Its not the first time I see users joining chat whining about other nominations getting voted on with voting trails thus making it unfair for certain nominations, and in this case even using randowhale (i.e paying for upvotes to win steemvoter of the day)

I've been refraining voting on these in the past since I find it to give an unfair advantage to whoever has more friends or bigger wallets get the steemvoter vote. Thoughts?

Hey @acidyo, we will be writing about it on Saturday on our "Week in review post". You are welcome to give suggestions on the post after you have read our thoughts on the matter.

its fine who ever wins wins

yep! I agree you,

This issue was, however, discussed already by @deepapoudel. They told that they are looking for ways to help improve the service for the good, but it's still the same. Also, she said that there should be judges from within. And, I do support her opinion to some extend but yeah that will change the whole scenario.

Hi, we tried having an internal team to judge but then we were criticised that it wasn't decentralised.

You're right, it's fair. What should I do, my friend? @acidyo

any thing that can detect bot votes ?

true @acidyo

My point was for comments that lead to steemvoter winners, there needs to be a better way to decide which nominations ought to win.

I agree. What would be the solution?

To choose winners differently than by posting rewards is my guess.

If we go by number of votes then it will be possible to sybil attack the comment with lots of little accounts. Some people hold thousands of those.

or Steem Voter choose a random winner?

Random winner would take away from the community aspect of everyone networking and canvassing for votes and would reduce overall engagement.

Today I wanna nominate my friend mgibson's article on a very interesting topic - "Does rice increase your weight?". Rice is the staple food of 1/3 population of the world. But as it full of carbohydrates does it actually play a vital role to increase our fat? To know the answer read the following article. It's awesome :)

https://steemit.com/health/@mgibson/does-rice-increase-your-weight

I would like to nominate again my friend @deepapoudel for her latest post about the 5 steem tips campaign. This campaign was led by @sykochica, and is still up and running. In this article @deepapoudel talks about the project itself, and also how she completed it. Also she have added the names of those steemians she gave the steems as tip, and I hope that helps them more visibility.

That is why I wish to support her so that her post gets more visibility and also more people know about the project. I have talked to her and also she agreed that she will give half of the post payout to fund the project if she gets nominated here :)

So, this is my nomination for her 5 steem tips post,

5 Steem Tips Campaign - An Overview And My Journey

I would like to nominate @anca3drandom for her post: https://steemit.com/pyrography/@anca3drandom/pyrography-art-spoons
