Memory Card Series mixed media artwork on canvas created by Singaporean artist-cum-sculptor, Kumari Nahappan. Our memories are entwined in a maze of historical consequences; all related to each other. These memories conceive cognitive biases and perceptions on which we base our decisions and opinions. Some memories we hold onto only for ourselves; while others are shared with family, friends and even strangers. By giving these memories varying colours and nuances, representing our life journeys and bonds between each other, the artist celebrates the joy of coming together.
