En 1991 tuve la oportunidad de cumplir un sueño: poder hacer un recital público con la soñada Guitarra de mi maestra en ese entonces, la Guitarrista Elaiza Gilson. Se trata de una Guitarra del Luthier madrileño Vicente Camacho, del año 1977. Siempre soñé con esa Guitarra, pues, además de su hermoso sonido, impregna el lugar donde este con un olor característico a madera noble. En el año 2011, mi maestra me obsequio su guitarra, y desde ese entonces la uso regularmente como mi instrumento personal, luego de varias reparaciones y adaptaciones. A continuación un par de fotos, la primera de 1991, la primera vez que toque con ella, y la segunda de 2016, 27 años después, en un encuentro de Guitarra Clásica que se realiza todos los años en la hermosa población de Choroní, en la región centro costera venezolana.
In 1991 I had the opportunity to fulfill a dream: to be able to do a public recital with the dreamed guitar of my teacher at that time, the guitarist Elaiza Gilson. It is a guitar from Madrid Luthier Vicente Camacho, from 1977. I always dreamed of that guitar, because, in addition to its beautiful sound, it permeates the place where it has a characteristic smell of noble wood. In the year 2011, my teacher gave me her guitar, and since then I use it regularly as my personal instrument, after several repairs and adaptations. Here are a couple of photos, the first one from 1991, the first time I played with her, and the second one from 2016, 27 years later, in a Classical Guitar meeting that takes place every year in the beautiful town of Choroní, in the Venezuelan coastal center region.
