The 'Instagram' of STEEM
Have you heard of Steepshot.io? It is a gateway to the STEEM blockchain that uses an interface very similar to 'Instagram'. Currently the App is available in the Google Play Store. Eventually it will be in the App Store for iOS users. Steepshot is an awesome way to share pictures on the STEEM blockchain. The simplicity of the application makes it easy to create a quick post based around a single image.
The Feed
The feed on Steepshot.io will consist soley of posts that were created using the Steepshot Application. On the contrary, when you make a post using Steepshot.io, it will show up mirrored on your Steemit feed.
Here's a look at my Steepshot feed from a few moments ago.
Login
When logging in to Steepshot.io you are only required to provide a Posting Key. Therefore, Steepshot will never have access to funds associated with your STEEM account.
Overall Steepshot is a great tool for STEEM. I think it will play a large role in the on-boarding of new users over time. At the end of 2017, Instagram was seeing almost 800 million active users. Steepshot is a way to create Instagram-style posts and earn from it. When the masses find out about this brilliant application, they will come flooding. Try it out for yourself!

Thanks for the heads up! So is there any way to opt out of the pics going to your Steemit wall?? I would like to be able to do more posts over there, but not have them all sent to my Steemit page.

Ever since I started with Steepshot I lost almost all interest in Instagram. Also use the #steepshot hashtag once in a while they'll upvote your pics.

I love Instagram but have gone cold turkey since joining Steemit about 6 weeks ago and realising how very much more satisfying it is to have real and meaningful interactions with folks.

Cheers! Can’t blame you for that! STEEM is the most fulfilling social network in existence at the moment. When you sign into Steepshot you use your STEEM username (@ldacey-laforge) and the private posting key found in the permissions section of your wallet.

Love the idea and love how it turned out. Albeit I must admit that it's rather slow on actually posting the picture (took about 15 minutes after clicking ready to the actual post on Steemit, still nowhere to be found on @steepshot, now about 8 hours ago).
