wow.....excellent photography and great music.

Thank You. This place is beautiful!!

looks like a cosey place to me... I'd always liked it when there was no real stage, so you stand on "the same level" as your audience. Gives a more free but connected atmosphere... Have a great day!!

Yes, it does. Too bad they are undergoing new management - they have had some drama, so I may not be back there.

Ah thats to bad indeed... How are things in the states with getting 'gig's'.. Here in Holland clubowners really exploit musicians. Although the smaller venues and bars regarding the smaller musicians.... I have played with a band once in a local bar in my hometown, the guy paid us 200 dollar voor 2,5 hour gig with a 7 mans band... BUT ;) we got two drinks each, so that made up for the low payment...The gig was arranged by our drummer at that time. I kindly asked him to never make an agreement like that again. Don't get me wrong, music is my hobby and I don't have to live from it, but you ridicule the whole music scene like this...

It is pretty much the same where I live, but much worse in Los Angeles. Here, I usually ask for $100 per hour(for a band). Most gigs at the bars are 3 hours. In L A bands have to buy and sell their own tickets "Pay to Play" I have not played at a club down there in a very long time. Full timers have multiple streams going on.

ah ok, I did not expect that. Although there is are of course much more musicians in the states then there are in Holland. That's what I love about the states, the musical environment, there is much more place for all kinds of music. For instance where I live, Zutphen Holland, there are only 2 practice locations for bands and it is all metal or heavier orientated. So if you would like to play a funk, blues or pop band, you have to be lucky to meet musicians at a jam-session in another town or so... But then distance is again a problem...

But indeed, a 100 dollar per hour for a band is'nt that much either...hard work does pay, but you have to work very hard :)

In the UK the bar owners are only interested in cover bands as the punters prefer them!

If you want to play your own original stuff you have to put the gig on yourself most of the time. You can find places that let you play for free but usually only if they have a second room that's not booked for something else!

I'm try to see if I can use Channels.cc to link to an application form for bands who want to play so we can generate some revenue to pay for the PA and possible pay the bands too.
It's worked out quite well for a local festival that help with.

The same in Holland, mostly cover bands. Own initiative is the keyword for us here.... but indeed it costs some...

Hard work isn't it!

I like your music.
