I'm buying Steem & powering up again for Christmas! (Not really for Christmas)

A week or so ago I mentioned that I decided to take some SBD, buy Steem, and power it up, to reinvest in the Steemit community and to be able to better reward and support other Steemit users, as well as the three creators I've recruited to Steemit, @samseder @hannahlaurel and @big-lou

Since it's Christmas (just kidding, I'm Jewish -- I mean, it's really Christmas, but that's not why I'm powering up), I decided to again buy some more Steem and power it up...and I plan to continue!

Most important, you are powering up.
I find it really hard to explain someone about steemit. Not the concept but why steemit(steem) makes more sense than any other social platform.
Sincerely steem will worth $10+ and this is when the frenzy will start.
I get it but if you want quick bucks, this is where I draw the line.
Good job and keep on steemit!

You know, I actually began powering down a couple weeks ago in a move to deleverage from my crypto position. But I decided against it! I'll still be selling off my position in some other coins, but a re-powered up this week because I believe what Steem is doing. Merry Christmas man! :)

Just wondering, but why are you wanting to move away from your positions in crypto? 2018 could be a huge year.

Haha, just simple deleveraging. I also agree that 2018 will be huge, but it's important to take some profits as we rise. Helps me sleep easier at night ;)

Also, it's more of the "pump and dump" coins I'm dumping. I'm mainly consolidating my position into projects that either have an active userbase (like BAT and STEEM) or have a great growth potential/active development community (Like ETH). Thanks for the question!

Great move! I'm waiting for some rise SBD price and I will do the same

Nice

@davidpakman there is NEVER a Bad Day to POWER UP more STEEM..........Happy New Year and may 2018 be the STEEM Breakout Year !!

hahah, one could say that yes

Thank You for all of your Wonderful Content and for attracting others to STEEMIT.....

Omaigod, @big-lou is our good ole Louis!

hahah it absolutely is

bought some as well, wooo, happy crypto-holidays

indeed!

I’m doing the same! 😀

Great move.

Oh you are Jewish, I didn't know that. I'm Jewish as well. Happy after-Hanukkah hehe :)
Powering up is a smart long-term move.

Really

When my Nano-s is delivered, tomorrow, and I figure out how to do this and that, I'll buy some STEEM too.

You're making a great investment and there is no chance for failure. I wish you all the best.

Iam so excited with this sudden rise in the value of both steem and steem dollars but the thing is why steem dollars are increasing instead of steem itself because we all know steem is the main currency of steemit and sbd is just here to make sure we get at lest the value of $1 per sbd but right now sbd is on it's all time high and steem is slowly chasing it but very slowly,

A wise move, powering up also stops you selling on a whim. Great if you're here for the long term gains

I love how active you have been with steemit recently hopefully it will only become a larger platform for the pakman show in the future keep keeping on :)

I've been powering up as soon as I get more SBD because the prices buying power of STEEM slowly trending down. I'm apparently not capable of holding on to SBD.

Hanukkah Sameach, dear David.

That's cool. I'm hanging on to my SBD for the moment because I'm still not sure if I want to use it to power up or what.

I like to keep a little of everything though I keep most of my Steem powered up and so far not planning on withdrawing anything. Nice to see other folks doing the same. Greetings!

There is something weirdly addictive about powering up. It starts to become a little internal game, challenge.

This is a handy site btw:

Shows you what your upcoming payouts are going to be, but I’m more interested in that voting power. It’s been satisfying to go from $0.00 to at least throwing out $0.05 to people!

You're going exceptionally well! I'm going to convert my SBD to STEEM and then power up, but I'm a long way from having an upvote that's worth anything.

Its always worth to power up steem. Good luck and good effort to support others too...
