The cryptocurrency market has been on a wild ride over the past few years. The price of Bitcoin and other digital coins have surged and plummeted, with many investors losing money in the process.
In the beginning of 2022, the total value of all cryptocurrencies was $118 billion. By September, it had dropped to $97 billion — and that’s not including forks like Bitcoin Gold or Bitcoin Cash — and by November, it had fallen below $60 billion.
By February 2022, it was at just over $17 billion. The fall from grace was dramatic: In November 2021 alone, crypto lost $17 billion of its value.
