Last night I was playing Stellaris on a now defunct save game due to a bug screwing up my fleets and suddenly this pretty rare event popped up on one of the systems where I might or might have not been anal probing the natives...
Disregarding that, the silly people that call themselves scientist that I assigned to the very delicate task of doing probes up the natives... brains... yeah... their brains... sent a message with what could have possibly happened on Earth as well, just a couple of drunk space scientist playing god, as if you really needed to be drunk to do that.
What happened next was pretty funny as well, after picking out the option in the middle and allowing the prank to go on, apparently there are 2 things that can happen. Either the natives worship your scientist for life or the most obvious thing, a faction of the natives don't believe in the other half's god and start building their own pyramids, causing a war between the tribes and wiping out life from the planet that you had spend over 30 years studying and propping up to help them advance into an enlightenment age.
What's your take away here? When we finally manage to master space travel, we might or might not want to restrict interactions with pre-space age civilizations to prevent this funny events from happening... Maybe thats what happened to us in the first place and we are still fighting about it thousands of years later... or maybe don't? and lets just do it and fuck up other planets and living things like they did with us?
This silly event with a couple of lines really made me think about a lot of stuff, it even inspired me a bit to write a post about it (inspiration has been lacking lately, i'm feeling quite down) and I feel like I want to dabble a bit into science fiction writing, maybe create a couple events for the game myself...
Ya I think that best way to go. Just look at us if we suddenly had better science we build ray guns to go blow up other planets with to farm the materials. Those people you where studying could been your downfall!
Been tempting to get back into this game with all the tweets the devs are sharing about what they are working on. They keep show ones with crypo this or that in them lol.

Getting a World Destroyer is easy because it makes you super op and the war goal it gives you makes strategic war meaningless lol.
I'm currently playing a Fanatic Materialistic/Authoritarian species that I turned into sentient robots and I'm assimilating all species into my cognitive systems.

@lunaticpandora, In my opinion there are many Mysteries which are not yet disclosed to the Human Beings. And in my opinion our Intuition guides towards it means, our Intuition always advice us if something is wrong or about the missing piece. Let's hope that truth will reveal itself soon and will push us from this darkness.
