STEEM CHURCH - JESUS CHRIST'S FIRST ADVENT

I will like to start this first chapter by thanking God for this year 2018.

The Bible is infallible if only the world has studied the signs of the Old Testament ,they would have known that Jesus was coming and they would have welcomed him. But their ignorance and blindness concerning the teaching of the scriptures led them to fail to recognise Him when he eventually comes.
Hundreds of years before Jesus was born, the old testament prophesied about it.

Let us collaborate this revelation with overwhelming evidence. He would be of the tribe of Judah (Genesis 49:9-10 ) He would be born in Bethlehem (Micah 5:2) He would be born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14) He would come as a prophet (Deuteronomy 18:18-19) His own people would reject him (Isaiah 53:3).He would make a triumphant entry into Jerusalem (Zechariah 9:9) He would be betrayed and sold for 30 pieces of silver (zechariah 11:12-13) He will be put to death by crucifixion where is hands and feet would be pierced as well as soldiers with cast lots for his clothing psalm 22 He would be raised from the dead psalm 16:9-10 He would be you cheated on the cross when he ask for water to drink it would be given venegar psalm 69:22.
In spite of all the spiritual proof when Jesus came He was not recognised as the messiah.

THE PURPOSE OF HIS COMING
Jesus came as the revelation of righteousness. we understand that righteousness means the ability to stand in the presence of God without the sense of guilt or inferiority.

He desire to get rid of sin consciousness has given birth to all the major religions of the world. But God has dealt with the same problem through the coming of Jesus Christ. He made it possible on legal grounds for man who is spiritually dead, in union with satan to become a new creature by receiving the very nature and life of God (the zoe life)

The life and nature of God is righteousness. consequently as a result of Jesus finished work of redemption, any person who accepts Jesus as lord and savior automatically becomes the righteousness of God in Christ.

Dominion of sin consequently over the church has been fostered, developed and made a reality by ministers who keep on preaching sin instead of Christ and the new creation. Sin consciousness came with the fall when man became a partaker of spiritual death. Spiritually dead man cannot stand in God's presence.

This can be seen by God's illustration of this fact in the old convenant. The high priest went into the Holy of hollies once every year, and that is only seen he was blood covered. He usually didn't go into the Holy place to worship, but to make a yearly atonement for spiritually dead Israel.

The good news is that God sent His only begotten son to the world to become incarnate, to become eternally United with Humanity. Jesus went to the cross of calvary by the determinate Council of God, became sin, took the place of humanity (sinners) as a substitute. Then He conquered the enemy and made righteousness available to all those who believe in Christ. Any form of religious redemption that is void of these truths is fallacy.
The scripture made it abundantly clear that Jesus is our righteousness, our sanctification and wisdom (1 corinthians 1:30)

ON THE CROSS OF CALVARY
Mercy met judgement, righteousness met sin, light met darkness, humanity met pride, love met hatred, life met death, the sting of death met its antidote which is Resurrection!

I end this chapter with (1st john 5: 9-12) if you receive the witness of men the witness of God is greater for this is the witness of God which he has testified of his son. He that believes on the son of God has the witness in himself, he that believes not God has made him a liar because he believes not the record that God gave his son. And this is the record that God has given to us and eternal life, and this life is in his son. He that has the son has life and he that has not the son of God has no life. In this was manifested the love of God towards us because that God sent his only begotten son into the world that we (mankind) might live through him. Getting is love, not that we love God but He that loves us and sent His son to be the propitiation (the atoning sacrifice) for our sins.
Through the first Adams disobedience all humanity became separated from God but through the obedience of the second Adam (Jesus) those who believe in his finished work can be reconciled to God.
