So I am doing a little experiment... I just installed STEPN on the phone of my father in law who has trouble with his lounges and who doesn't like to move. So, I thought it would do him very well to get some daily movement and walking, so I gave him a walker sneaker and now he has to move 10 minutes per day and get paid for it.
Let us see how it will progress, I am really curious to find out. I do hope it will help him, because it would be great to see him get a little bit addicted to moving his body and that the financial perspective and inspiration will make it much easier to him.
Today will be the first day in which he will walk for ten minutes. My original plan was to send him three sneakers, but that is simply a too expensive investment at the movement, so I cannot afford that. But, at least one is a start, and now I will have to find out what kind of effect it will have on him. He is very lazy, so he wasn't very enthusiastic at first. But, I do know that movement can be addictive and if you even get some financial motivation for moving, then it can get even more addictive. Let us find out. I am also curious to see if he will just move exactly the required ten minutes or if he might walk twenty minutes considering that he has anyway put on his shoes and that he wants to make a bigger walk of it since he is first moving. Time will show!
That was it for today. Maybe I should install it on the phone of my mother-in-law as well? :)
Do you want to learn more about STEPN? Or maybe you want to learn more about Sweatcoin which is an alternative to STEPN? Take a look at our comparison right here.
The big question when comparing such platforms is how much you are willing to invest. If you don't want to invest, and you don't really care if you earn anything, then Sweatcoin is easier and better. But, if you are willing to take a bigger risk for the sake of earning more, then STEPN is a way cooler solution.
Time will show which will be the best for us all!
