With much Steem Power, comes much responsiblity. Hence why I have delegated most of my steem power (aka influence) out to others that I believe desire the best for the steem blockchain.
As time goes on, stewards will be added, promoted, demoted, or maybe even get the axe.
There are no set guidelines, but there are a few things that I do watch for in determining promotion/demotion/axe/etc. Those that carefully inspect the blockchain can probably figure it out themselves. Not all of my decisions are black and white though because some level of discernment is necessary. Feel free to discuss what they might be below but I will not add to the discussion and remain neutral. Nor, will I be mentioning when these events occur.

One of the Stewards is voting on shitposts and getting paid for it. "coolguy123"
Well, the problem isn't that he is getting paid for using your delegation. The problem is that he is upvoting shitposts.

He is using 2% votes on curating posts. But the bulk of the SP you delegated is used for selling votes via minnowbooster.

As for as minnowbooster vote selling is concerned, I had set that up way before SP delegation was done. If that is a concern, I will remove the vote selling.
2% voting is being done to reach more people with my votes as that is one of the criterion being measured by @fulltimegeek thru these Analysis on his Stewards of Gondor posts
As for as copy pasted content, I didn't check that whether it's copy pasted from youtube or some other channel. I normally don't upvote videos, but somehow I voted that. Will be extra careful from now.

What a nice end to my 39th birthday. I'm really happy to see my self-vote % half after the first week - I'm still up-voting each of my own blogs, but at half the power as previously.
With my delegation having doubled recently so my plan these last few days has been to lower the weight of my vote across the people i provide auto-gifts to, freeing up plenty of room to give bigger votes to the up and coming.
I could be at an advantage in that i'm not doing a 9-5 at present and so i can really focus on curation, comments, and a blog each day too.
With this SP, i feel less need to 'look up' to the big-time SP holders less (cause lets face it, they are doing pretty well!), and can focus on encouraging newer members, not worrying that they cannot (yet) give back in kind.

Thanks for letting me know about Steemit and giving me the extra push I needed to get involved. Years ago I was buying silver and did not understand crypto-currency and how they derived their value. I am happy to have a small position now that I earned over the past year on the site. The Mandela Effect has not caught on like I would have hoped over here on Steemit but I will not give up because eventually the biggest thing to happen in human history is bound to catch on if you post about it enough times.

I certainly have to rethink my voting behaviour. I have always upvoted my own posts since I am Steemit but before your delegation it didn't really make a difference. On the other hand, my payouts have been going down drastically and have only being buffered by the enormous SBD price.
I don't like to be that low on your list and I certainly fear your mighty axe. So I will see how I can improve myself and reduce the self-voting. I am having a lot of fun with your delegation and use it to curate tons of Utopian quality posts. I even created the 1UP curation trail for that. I am working with @stoodkev on a SteemPlus integration to make this a truly democratic system without proof-of-stake. Stay tuned!

I don't actually use my @carlgnash account for curation much (or didn't) but I have now set up a vote follow so the @carlgnash vote is following the two accounts that I do use for curation, @r-bot and @humanbot. I am a little surprised to see that I had even the small % of self votes that I had, as I don't actually upvote any of my own posts, but I realize after thinking on it that I do upvote some of my comments occasionally when I think there is a benefit (not a self benefit) to the comment being more visible. Really am all too stoked you're doing this, and love the analysis of performance. I doubt I could more strongly advocate this exact practice to reverse the dismal retention rate, more broadly disburse rewards to them as need to get it to create a market for Steem, and more reasons than I can prolly list here.
I am impressed that the already excellent work of the great people you have elected is actually improving in key metrics as they are inspired to share the love.
