Panini Sticker Books

I always collected the Panini Hockey Stickers as a kid. I still have my book from 1986. I don't know what happened to the others. Last year while out one day we saw the 2016-17 book and I picked it up for my son Luke. I would buy packs of stickers and give him one every week after hockey if he did a good job listening to the coaches. He loved it. He loves matching the numbers and searching the book. He loves just flipping the pages and reading all the team names.

As you can see he didn't want to smile for a picture because he was busy looking up the stickers.
This year he really wanted to get the 20017-18 version of the book. Since I am his hockey coach he has to listen to me every week. So I just buy him packs now and then for fun. Hewas at his cousins house until today and she also has a book. So his aunt bought them both a few packs.

So this afternoon we have been sitting down putting the stickers into his album. I used to love collecting things as a kid. I love that I can pass this on to my son. Who knows, maybe he will be sticking silver soon!

Thats pretty awesome that he enjoys something that you did as a child!

I know. Not sure who has more fun.

Wonderful and soo thoughtful. Indeed your son would be sticking bitcoins instead :-).

Maybe he will! Thanks for your support.
He is the topic of a lot of my posts hence the name dadview :) hopefully I can teach him about steem and bitcoin one day soon!

They still make the sticker books, how cool!

Yeah I hadnt seem them in years. They used to be sold at every corner store!

Those are good collectibles! I was once a card collector and it was pretty awesome. Nice!

I have a lot of old cards that I share with him. I dont have many that are worth much. He mainly just likes them based on what team that they play for.

I remember those! I had one of the Panini Dinosaur books back in third or fourth grade.

That is awesome. I never ever finished a book but always had fun.

It was! My brother and I were crazy about dinosaurs back then. But who wasnt? 🤓

I still have my books full of trading cards....GREAT memories @dadview!

Thanks. I love trying to make memories with him.
I think memories are what help make us who we are.

That’s pretty cool
We never had sticker books like this for sport when I was growing up
I wonder if they do in NZ these days

They sometimes have them for other things as well.
They had one for Star Wars episode 7.

I loved collecting sports cars as a kid! I'd introduce him to coins sooner than later. Maybe get him ones with comic book, movie, or cartoon characters. In the last couple of years, coins of pure silver were minted with Darth Vader, a Stormtrooper, Iron Man, Spider-Man, and Mickey Mouse on them. They can all be found for $20- $30.

So growing up I always collected coins. Unfortunately nothing valuable. Coins from other countries. I would try to get a nickle from each year. I would collect quarters of the different provinces ect.
I have a lot of silver dollars but unfortunatly they are mostly non-silver dollars. ha ha.
Luke has 3 coins. He likes animals so they are Loonies and Quarters with animals on them.

He would love Star Wars Themed ones!
