Hello my dear friends.

Today's new opossum sticker ;))))

I like possums.

They kill snakes also the poisonous ones. Opossums don't decimate the snake population, though, which I think is important. Snakes are an under very important control on the rodent population, after all. They are just one of the natural controls of the snake population. They also eat a large proportion of the carrion found in populated areas, ie dead birds and other animals of similar size.

They prefer environments in the vicinity of streams or swampsThey hide in the burrows of other animals, tree recesses and stacks of brushes.

They are fascinating little creatures. Also, among other things, they rarely suffer from rage and therefore do not spread because their body temperature is too low. They live longer than one year and their average life expectancy is about 18 months. They can, however, provide nasty bite because their mouths are full of different bacteria as a result of their eating of the parasite. But their teeth are very weak, so most of them feed on insects, spoiled fruits and vegetables, and some carrion they find.

Their apparent lack of IQ is due to the lack of a large portion of the frontal lobe. They were one of the first mammals to appear as dinosaurs died, so their brains are slightly more developed than reptiles. However, the same lack of frontal lobe development is responsible for lack of aggressiveness. These animals are quite obedient and give a hissing sound. When they are frightened, they widly open mouths to frighten their predators. They have more teeth than any other mammal. Sometimes they may seem "stupid" ... when they go ahead of cars, for example ... because of their very poor eyesight and hearing.

Interesting and unique post! I almost ran one over once on my way from Chicago to Lake Geneva WI. I thought it was a giant rat! Or is it a giant rat.........?

Could it be a big rat. I don't want to scare you but I had situations in our friend house and the rat was really really big. So I am not sure what you have seen. I have only hope it was possum ;) Have a good one. Thank you of your support as wee ;)

You're welcome. I thought it was a rat but my friend had seen them before and said it was a possum. It scared the crap out of me, whatever it was!

So yesterday when I was coming back home I saw two skunks walking right next to me. I was in shock. Gladly nothing happen. I think I would feel better to see possum then those little fellows ( don't get me wrong they look really cute but... that smell leeeee ) Have a great day. I am going to check your post right now ;))) see you there

Seems to me that they serve a special purpose within our ecosystem. Thanks so much for sharing, my friend! Have a wonderful Sunday! @margaretwise

Yes, they are really cute and helpful. Thank you for your commend ;) Have a wonderful day ;)

The possum in the sticker has too many babies. No wonder why it needs a brake!
