It has been quite a while since we posted on Steemit. Deep down I love Steemit and Steem and find myself coming back to it time and time again even though I started a semi competing platform that had original plans to run along side Steemit but things change and directions sometimes change. With the price down I'll probably buy Some more Steem soon as I feel the platform overall will advance and overtime .80 cent Steem will have a nice payday.(this is my personal opinion and is not financial advice) Some ask me why I powered down and basically left the platform. Mainly to protest the rampant flagging. I was rarely affected, although many others I know did not deserve such treatment. Maybe Stish is a safe space for the Steemians that feel abused or maybe it is the hope of some crumbs are better than no crumbs.
Where is Stish today?
Stish will be opening up their 2.0 currency for trading on http://Radex.ai very soon. With our rebranding and new direction as a free standing social media rewards platform that is focused on developing a micro crypto economy not just a social blogging platform we see a bright future.
Several are beta testing the Stish Stores. A marketplace for people wanting to sell products for cryptocurrency and also allows Store Managers to accept fiat or crypto for settlement via paypal. People who wish to purchase from the Stish Store can do so using their Social Wallets which are generated for all new members. Paypal and credit cards are also acceptable payment methods but will often have a delay in settlement for the Marketplace Store Managers. The Social Wallets accept BTC, LTC, ETH, ETC, BCH at the moment and Stish crypto will soon be added with the same functionality. The Social Wallets can be used for direct tipping of authors above and beyond the Stish rewards received. The Social Wallets can be used to send and receive crypto easily through the platform by simply using a members username. This adds more functionality to cryptocurrency. These light wallets are similar to wallets one would receive on an exchange and are not intended for large holdings or long term storage but for allowing quick easy access to digital funds.
We are looking at adding Steem to the mix also as we do have many members who utilize both platforms. It would allow users to quickly move their Steem to the Stish platform and one day even exchange it for Stish or other popular currencies from within the Stish platform. If we were to allow Steem as a form of payment for items it could encourage more use of the Steemit platform as their would be more actual way to use it rather than just trading.
https://Stish.io has come along way from a year ago. The blogging platform allows markdown now along with html wysiwyg editor. Bloggers get a media library for their uploads so they can use them again easily if needed. Bloggers instantly get their content shared in the form of a snippet and featured image in the Social Portal which is a micro blogging platform. This can help them get more viewers and follower fast.
People can form groups through the platform and direct message each other easily. The Social Portal allows for a steady stream of content. Some users post short posts and other share photos, memes and now videos. It is easy to see a friends photo gallery and video gallery. You can now easily check out their blog posts. Stish is perfect for small groups and communities that want to stay connected within their niche. In fact it was designed for that purpose. Groups are a way for like minded people to come together and easily find other like minded people. Direct messaging allows for private chats to go on between members or multiple members. Some just use their Posts and carry on conversations as the refresh times are fairly fast and notifications also help get you back to the conversation if you stroll away.
Stish does have it's drawbacks as it is a hybrid on chain off chain solution. With the currency being immutable and developed on the Ethereum blockchain there is a learning curve to adopting the wallets and browser extensions to interact with Stish. The other downside is the fees for transactions. This is one main reason we had hoped to launch SMT but that appears to be extremely centralized. Though most of the learning curve issues will be resolved when Stish is added to the light wallets functionality the Ethereum network fees will still apply but have recently went down.
Stish has an equitable rewards distribution model so that everyone initially receives some rewards for their efforts. With community interaction giving an earning advantage to members who are socially adept and yet does not allow a greater penalty of flagging from someone with a greater rewards holding. Since the rewards system isn't on chain scammers beware that Stish Credits can be removed for being flagged and violating our blogging rules. Stish doesn't have a censorship policy but does ask that content not contain nudity or illegal content due to our user base and country of origin. There is no excellent way to handle the odd issues that arise other than arbitration and a panel of early adopters, founders, and advisers will have the ultimate say on rare instances where a commonsense decision can't be reached. As we have seen with Steemit when there are a lot of bad apples in the community they can quickly make a muck and runoff serious capital investment through abuse of power. The best laid plans need to sometime be modified with the times and legality of the future. Additionally we will soon add some ai to the blogging platform to help automate some of the abuse detection mechanisms. For instance plagiarism might be able to be prevented by delaying the submission of the post and rewards credits and checking content against known hot zones of theft. Additionally through scripting we will see character minimum limits so that no content posts are not allows for full blogging credits as the social portal gives adequate rewards for short micro blogging content.
Stish is in Beta and has some hiccups from time to time. We have a support group and a contact us page where you can report any issues. We also offer a bounty for some of the bug reports and if you have a solution we appreciate that even more. None of the platforms that are offering crypto rewards are perfect and over time we all will develop and offer our user base their own unique niche platforms or micro crypto economies. In the spirit of love and peace and kindness Stish will look to work with other micro crypto economies where possible to integrate some tools and services that are mutually beneficial. Most of the Steem tools are gone but we do look forward to offering some tools that will help with using both platforms in the future more easily.
Stish so far has been an excellent proof of concept and as we test more ideas and theories we should find ourselves in a very scalable position soon. We have opened up our token event for those who want to participate. We would prefer that users of the platform be the primary token holders but if all else fails we will seek corporate financing in 2019 to take Stish to a whole new level. Unlike most of the tokens and ICO's that have raked in billions and most still have zero working prototypes, Stish has had small but important successes. You can see the concepts in a working environment and see the plan actually being implemented and know if participation is right for you.
In summary https://Stish.io and the crypto currency Stish is in a great place and doing wonderful things that will tie the micro crypto economies of the future together in very unique ways.
We recently corresponded with Etherscan to update our token information. In the email correspondence they have the accurate information for the Stish token. Currently they have the links crossed with Tembocoin and Stish so that they are mixed up... You can send ETH driectly to the contract [ 0xb472C71365eF9ed14226bB0AA4C9a3Fa45EcE510 ] and it will send Stish to your Wallet address. The rate is a steal now with 1 ETH getting you 1000 Stish which is actually below our angel pre-ico pricing. I know they are loving that right now. Who knew that Ether would plummet so fast.
We are still awaiting a response from Etherscan about the update. Perhaps they will offer us a weeks worth of free advertising for the troubles. (wishful thinking.)
We are not mad about it as mistakes happen but do want it corrected in a timely fashion. If you have connections at Etherscan and would like to assist us that would be awesome.
