I have been spending a lot of time trying to understand the stock market, and it seems like the best way to make money would be just to buy at the bottom of a market crash. The following are two charts of the S&P 500 ETF starting from a market bottom:
In the two charts above, by buying on the first trading day of the year in 2003/2009 and holding it, the return on investment would be around 69% and 187% respectively.
Does anyone have a different opinion or any advice?
Was searching for my own post and bumped into yours, its basicly the same strategy. Except i use leveraged ETF (no stop loss)
