Living in a country area in the middle of an island is one of the most wonderful things that I have been able to experience during this time in Tenerife. "La Esperanza" belongs to the municipality "El Rosario" on the aforementioned island, this region is located in the north of the island and is characterized by having abundant vegetation and very cold climates.
For me it is very common to go for a walk through the nearby streets and find an endless number of beautiful flowers that range from roses, hydrangeas (or world flower), orchids, and curiously there is a field of sunflowers.
Legend has it that a young water nymph Clytie daughter of the ocean god and the sea goddess Thetis (Titanide) fell madly in love with the god of light and the sun Apollo. ... Little by little Clytie began to to take root until she became a beautiful flower, a Sunflower.
