I was told I had to add at least 100 words to my posts to avoid being labeled as spam. While I disagree with this policy, I also don't want to risk being the target of a downvoting or bullying campaign. So for this reason, I am adding this text to my posts from now on. You'll notice it has nothing to do with the photo itself, but apparently I'm not supposed to post just photos. It seems to me that posting photos in #stockphotos should be a perfectly legitimate thing to do, but apparently not everyone sees it that way.

SteemIt is, first and foremost, a text platform with images added as an after thought.
Were I to define a platform, I would actually design a photo sharing site optimized for the display and processing of digital photos. I would then design a forum for the display of text.
Sadly, few multi-media companies realize this problem. We get photo sharing sites that prevent the discussion of photos and forums that demand some texts with all photos ... and we have to learn to live with it.
BTW: If I were a photographer, I would join (or create my own) photo sharing site, then use the forums like STEEMIT and HIVE to discuss the photos.
