The Market and the Nuclear Option

in stocks •  7 years ago

It has always seemed odd to me that the market takes a downturn during threats of things like Nuclear Holocaust. If the world were to end, why would an investor worry about selling their assets off at the last minute?

It's not like they would enjoy the benefits of such a transaction should imminent conflict truly be imminent. Maybe, I'm just a fatalist but I've been a fan of investors who in periods such as this, instead of pull out of the market, hit the gas.

What are your thoughts?
