Tells a story, that an earl was in love with a young girl who lived in the inn of a distrustful and cantankerous old man who did not allow anyone to approach him.
The count, remarkable seducer, did not give up and decided to disguise himself as a soldier, and arrived at the inn announcing that a group of soldiers was going to stay at the place.
As it seemed to the owner of the inn that there was something strange, the count, desperate, pretended to be drunk which aroused even more suspicion and called the Civil Guard.
When the authorities arrived, and to get rid of the jail, the count revealed his identity and this all he did was add more confusion to the old innkeeper who did not understand those antics of a character of the nobility.
From that moment, with his love hurt but with his heart engulfed in flames, the seductive count decided to try other pirouettes and costumes to get to the inn where the beautiful girl was staying.
All these adventures happened in Seville, Spain, and the accomplice of the tricks of the count, was the barber of Seville ... and this is the name of this work, one of the most famous of a famous Italian musician: Giacomo Rossini.
Rossini was a character who, although of humble birth, knew the triumph in his country and in other geographies of Europe, and fortune smiled at him in many ways.
Rossini was, however, a musician of great silences that perhaps hid untold sadness after his operas full of humor.
The Barber of Seville, that work by Rossini that will continue to make people laugh and think around the world, was being released on a day like today, February 5, 1816, in Rome.
And since then art and music remind us that love does not know impossible or is free of smiles.
