SUMMARY
When I first started Chart Pattern analysis back in 1997; I had the most difficult time in discerning and "seeing" patterns; nevermind being able to identify fractals! But, I'm more oriented for abstract conceptualizations than memorization and that is why I often say the Chess and Poker players are much more amenable to Technical Analysis. Musicians, artists and writers..the abstract thinkers have a better ability to grasp conceptual visualizations. Still, practice is needed. To that end, here is an empty, unmarked chart...can you see the fractals?
The symmetrical triangles are quite uncanny (blue and white). The impulse waves prior to each is also quite similar. What else?
How about the purple rounded price formations? They certainly elevate the similarity index!
Now, let's bring in the MACD indicator. For me, it's always a culmination of pattern, Elliott Waves and Indicator. The MACD is displaying the fractal phenotype and the blue arrow shows the probable pathway that'll best support the wave 5 remaining. So, in a succinct example, this is some of my analysis process...I hope you find it helpful!
