Storm Damage; We went nearly 36 hours without power!

How many of you living in the Ozarks got hit with this storm last Friday???

Friday night we had a huge storm roll in that knocked out power to over 24,000 people in Northwest Arkansas. One county in Oklahoma, Sequoia County, saw multiple tornadoes. We finally got our power turned back on shortly before 10am this morning. Yeah, the weather ruined our weekend alright. It sucked! We went without power for nearly 36 hours! WTF!?

Check out all the damage around town it did! That pole pictured above is broken at the base. It was snapped like a twig bent over like that!

I highly doubt this one tree could of caused us to be without power for 36 hours. I would imagine several lines were down as a result. That is what happens during storms like these :-).

I was going down the road in the car as I took these. So that's why my pictures suck and are all blurry. Damn these cheap ass cell phone cameras!!!

We had some serious wind alright. We got minimal hail. Nothing baseball size like we had over the summer. Trees were broken and down all over town. These pictures are from Elkins. I believe West Fork got it the worst.

This was a roof on a business on the southeast side of Fayetteville. I zoomed in but it blurred even more but you can still tell that's the roof blown apart like that. Like I said I was in traffic riding along when I took these. So I wasn't really in a position to be taking better pictures.

So there you have it. Life in Arkansas. Now you know where I've been the last couple of days. Time too make up for it! I missed Caturday, got my silver bar to open up, and write about my first time smoking pot! Coming up next!
