Jully was gripped by fear as she didn't know what Phil would do if she told him who Nick was. so she instead told Phil that Nick was an old friend whom she had lost contact with.
Phil believed her words as he loved and trusted her.
Jully could barely focus while at work. The thought of Nick occupied her mind. Her boss had noticed her sudden change in mood and so he invited her to his office and decided to have a talk with her.
Miss Jully, you haven't been yourself all day, he Said. Jully replied that she was fine. No you're not, Her boss insisted. Jully knew her boss was not an easy man to convince so Jully started to spill. The other staffs spied on them easily as the office was built of glass.
Take the day off Jully ,her boss said after their talk. You need to get yourself together so you can be at your best performance. Jully appreciated the kind gesture , she packed her things and headed for home earlier than usual.
She was so tired she fell asleep the instance she sat on the couch. The ridiculous sound of her phone jeered her out of her peaceful sleep. she reached for her phone.
"I met your absence as I got to your work place to pick you up,I met with your boss instead and we had a talk". it was a voice message Phil had sent when he was unable to reach her. Damn, she had forgotten to tell Phil she had left work early.
Her heart beats sky rocketed and she could almost feel the entire room start to vibrate like a construction ground with a lot of machinery at work.she didn't care though. All that mattered was the resonating question. What had Phil and her boss discussed?
