The day started sunny but the clouds were closing in so farmer John knew he better get going.
It was nearly new years and farmer John didn't have much more time to sell hes bag of precious seeds.
So he was on his way to the market to sell hes bag of seeds but rushing and being a little careless his cart bumped into a rather large stone.
One tiny seed fell out of the bag unknown to farmer John.
The little seed wished it could be safe underground from the birds.
Lucky for him a horse running a field pressed the little seed into the ground.
Now underground the little seed realised he was now very thirsty and needed water to help grow.
Farmer John arrived just in time to the market as it just began to rain.

The little seed drunk lots of water.
The following day the seed had a bright green shoot.
With the weather improving the sun came out and the shoot grew tall.
It wasn't long until its first leaf appeared.
But with this new found beauty a bird tried to pluck and eat the seed but luckily our seed had been busy building its roots which saved him.
Many years passed and the seed grew into a plant and then into a fine tree.
Below the tree a passing little old man took cover under the tree from the strong heat of the sun.
When the tree looked down it was farmer John who was now very old.
The man who was so keen on selling him away so many years ago was now taking shelter under the tiny seed from getting a bad case of sun stroke.
Who is luckiest now do you think?

Plant a tree, plant a life!!

I think that the requirement to save nature is one of the most urgent of our generation. We must start to pay more attention to the life of nature, especially as climate change takes its toll.

At University, i actually majored in Agricultural engineering, So i am quiet passionate, and opinionated when it comes to matters of nature.

You here wear the shoes of the tree, so that through your eyes, and voice, the tree speaks, to those who would not care to plant the first seed that led to it, to those who would enjoys its shade without caring how it came into being, and to those who would cut it down irrespective of how it came into being.

I credit this for its literary quality, as much as for its educative quality.

Cheers!

This means alot I am someone who loves nature and animals and think it needs to be saved from human destruction before we have nothing left, Agricultural engineering thats great we could use more people in the world who understand the matters of nature. Exactly right I could of gone into more details on being the seed but was limited to 300 words so I touched on it briefly, trees can give more benefits then just shade but its true most go on without caring how these figures of nature came to be, wow thanks for your kind words @ebitularmbert

The pleasure is mine, thanks

@debbey (39). According to your comments on large numbers of blogs, you seem to have found many of them to be “captivating”, yet you commented little or nothing to the discussion. Would you mind sharing with us all, what exactly you found so captivating?

If on the other hand you were just trying to draw attention to yourself, but had nothing to contribute in response to the hard work of this author, then just let us all know.

Now you read! Thanks @swissclive!!!!

Haha thank you and so is this image this wouldn't surprise me in future @debbey dont forget to upvote.

Hey @debbey please be aware as @swissclive is correct and you could get flagged for doing so.

Who's the luckiest? The seed, I guess. If it didn't fall out of the bag, it would have been sold. It got lucky again: the horse pushed it into the ground. If the rain was too heavy, it could have gotten washed away. It germinated. It became a tree. Life could have happened, but it survived. It didn't get split with a chainsaw.

Well, in life, good things often happen. Some, beyond our control.

Thanks for sharing your view @jeffways and I have to agree the seed was the luckiest, yes good things do happen often thanks for the supprt.

love this story...Amazing story..

(btw I feel like I should point out a small typo in 1st line ["write sort stories"], it doesn't really bother me but thought I should mention that so you can edit incase people are distracted by it)

Oh well thank you @skybreaker how very kind, haha oh yes you are correct I missed out the H in short, not at all I thank you for point it out.

The very best stories are the ones we could tell to a child. This one qualifies. It would be a story of hope and inspiration to any child.

Upvoted at 100%.

Yes I was trying for a story that can teach children about life, nature, our actions but also of new life and hope for the new year, thank you I appreciate the supprt @swissclive
