So you don't know if this current pregnancy is in trouble other than that she has had a previous C-section? In other words, she was looking at necessary C-section because of previous events but not current ones?
If this is the case, I may be able to funnel information from my very experienced midwife (25 years delivering babies) in the event you are not able to get to someone for the delivery.
VBACs are now being actively discouraged because of a whole variety of reasons like insurance problems but my midwife does them and it is truly a real possibility to do safely. I have a good friend who had six natural births after three back-to-back C-sections in four years. So if this situation continues, there is hope.
I pray for a safe delivery. We don't think the baby has turned. We do have an option of a vet who has an ultrasound machine, so at least we would know for sure.

Would it be helpful to get you in touch with a midwife?

I am not sure at this point. I have been speaking with @carey-page on discord about some homoeopathic things we can do. If the baby is not in position it could be a whole other problem. We can't get the vet until tomorrow. Hopefully, he can give us an ultrasound to let us know what we are dealing with. Mama is finally resting which is good.

Good on the rest. You are definitely in my thoughts and prayers.
Breach deliveries at home are fairly common among the midwives I know. Being out of position is not necessarily a big problem. One of the best things you can remember is that babies are actually best delivered from a hands-and-knees position or kneeling, especially breach babies. I've had babies both ways and upright on knees gave the best chance at a smooth delivery (mine tend to get a little stuck on the way down). I talked with my midwife about this for a few months with my last birth because Daniel stayed breach pretty late. As long as you don't have a transverse (sideways) presentation, you can still do this.

Thanks! I had a long chat with mama this morning. She is willing to try natural at home. She is terrified of the hospital and I think w kind find a midwife close by. Labour has stopped this morning! Baby is still moving an heart rate is fine.

From what you're describing, almost anything will be safer for Little Mama than a C-section in these conditions. Short of placenta accretia, previa or transverse lie, she's better off. No gunshots, serious infections, critter-infested rooms or other hazards at home!
If you can find a midwife, you guys will really be cooking with gas.

We think we have found one. She will have to come across the back way here, on horseback, but if she can make it, it will be a Godsend!
