I can't take it anymore

"I can't take it anymore," I said to myself, gazing at the empty streets of my hometown. "I need to leave."
My determination was at an all-time high. I was tired of being stuck in a place where my dreams and ambitions were going nowhere.
But as I packed my bags, my mother walked in.
"Where do you think you're going?" she asked sternly.
"I'm leaving, Mom. I need to find something more for myself," I responded.
"You're making a mistake. You belong here with us," she pleaded.
"I love you, Mom, but I can't stay here forever."
My determination wavered for a moment as my mother cried into my shoulder, but I knew I had to leave.
As I walked out the door, my father grabbed me by the arm.
"Son, remember where you come from and who brought you here," he reminded me.
"I will never forget that, Dad. But it's time for me to make my own path."
And so I left my hometown with determination in my heart and dreams in my head.
