Catherine saw her grandfather for the very first time, her mum took her to go see her father, at first Catherine was so scared, he looked like a giant, he was so big, he looked like someone out of the movies, but after the first shock, Catherine became fascinated, she sat at a corner and looked at him curiously, she had a granddad and her father never bothered to mention it to her... If she had known, maybe if she had known earlier, she wouldn't have missed that scholarship, she thought within...!!

He stared at his granddaughter, it was the first time he was setting eyes on her, she looked so tiny, fragile, but she was a strong one, she had the most intense eyes, he'd ever seen, he was amazed in knowing how someone as small as she is could have such aura around her.. He was listening to his daughter tell him about her moves to take her daughter finally, he listened quietly, but his attention was centered on his granddaughter, there was something about her, he was yet to decipher it.. So quietly he watched her watch him, he could tell she was curious, he smiled... Then as he stared back at her, it became clear... He gasped…!!!!

ITOHAN was discussing with her father but she could tell there was an exchange between her father and her daughter, silently of course, she stole a glance towards Catherine and saw that her little eyes were fixated on her grandfather, this daughter of hers was an intense looker, she sure knew how to stare silently, ITOHAN wondered what exactly was going through that little mind of hers, then she took a look at her father, saw his intense look, a confused look, and a gasp.. ITOHAN got scared, it takes a lot to make her father betray his emotions in any way, a gasp? ITOHAN knew without any doubt that her father saw something about her daughter, and she knows her father won't say anything to her... She decided to let herself out for some air...!!

ITOHAN stayed amongst her siblings, they were all grown, her elder sisters, step sisters were both married and in their husband's houses, her younger ones were all doing well, she talked a little with her step mum and decided to go check her daughter... She got back and was shocked... On her father's laps was Catherine, laughing and playing with him, the shocking thing was her father’s laughter, she couldn't remember when her father laughed out... And here he was laughing like a baby with his 10 year old granddaughter... ITOHAN was shocked....!!!!
