Well, contarory to previous steps, our wedding was not a traditional one. A few nuances in it were traditional, actually they were even domestic. I bet i can find so many Turkish citizen not to know about some of them. If you're ready, i'm beginning to tell the last step at the our wedding path.

Once i got back at home from henna night, i slept over like a baby. I should have, because tomorrow was the big day! Actually, the biggest day fo my whole life. I was always expected myself to be sleepless on the eve's of this kind of thrilling events. But i can't imagine how i was tired back then.

I got up to my bro's voice. "Wake up fresh groom, you are to be stale". Damn, i hate teenager jokes. My whole family including relatives of my grandmother unknown by me was at our home on the occasion of my wedding. Eyes were looking for me. Mouths were saying most ridiculous things and jokes about wedlock. Every minute of waiting part was being sickening to me.

The plan was that: I will take Ece after breakfast to her hairdresser. I wait there until it finishes. Then i will take her back to her home. In the meantime, bridal procession arrives in front of their home and starts drumming etc. to wive ceremony. Yes sir, everything about wedding is a ceremony in Turkey.

Besides, i have had some issues in respect of above to happen. I had to be get dressed by my grand-uncle (uncle of my father) accompanied with preyers but i was refusing. The whole family were against me, bodily! So i undressed (except my underwear obviously), every part of my bridal dress have been put into my body without my will and preyers accompanied that ritual. They even took a video but i don't want to share it :)

After i survived that hardship, i went to take Ece. In their home, everything was wilder than my home. Firstly, Ece was stayed at hospital the last night as companion of her frined whom got sick after henna night. Her eyes were staring absently and face looking pale. First thing i thought back then was "she will be really mad to her friend when this hurly is finally over".

I took her to hairdresser and started to wait. I was looking the episodes of her make-up at the same time. Actually, it was more like a kalsomine. If it would be a kalsomine, Burj Khalifa should be all painted with two tiers of paint with it :) I'm telling to you boys, what beautiful on brides faces is not your wife-to-be, the cosmetic products :(

Bridal procession were already arrived once we get to her home after hairdresser. We head to their apartment while music continues on the background. We should have kiss her family elders' hands and take their preyers and we did so. But i was not expecting to be caught in that kind of rush of emotions. I always expected that i kiss their hands, they wish us a great fortune and then go outside with jokes and laughs. Well, it didn't go like that and i felt really bad.

If we put that emotional part through which we had no other choise because we are about to get married and traffic jam is a bitch, seemed like we are going to be late to our own wedding. Blame was another wedding's. We took our wedding date at January. But one moth before our wedding, daughter of Turkish Prime Minister announced that she would be married at the same day, on a place really close to our wedding palace.

The roads were closed in respect of "security matter" and there were traffic jam practically in whole Istanbul. And the worst thing was, Ece's home too far away from wedding palace. It takes 30 mins to her home to palace in normal cicumstances, but in these kind of bullshit circumstance it took 3,5 hours to arrive the palace. We were nearly miss our time.

So, once we said "yes" and accepted our every good and bad moods, we headed our new home. That was the beginning of our new lifes. That was the beginning of our togetherness. It's about to be 2 years (14th of May) and i'm still saying -to me only- "i made a right desicion"...

The stories after that will explain our wedding life, and carry more humor elements in them. Hope you enjoyed this and enjoy those in future :)

See y'all!
