Happy Easter (and April Fools)! Only we aren’t fooling around (LOL).

How fitting that this blog entry would introduce the narrator of Red Roses on Easter Sunday.

Easter, a turning point in the book Red Roses; a moment when the Priest from Durham, and the Lady of Berwikshire, find themselves to be members of the House of York. They’ve been transported from their homes, to the Royal Court, as preparations for the decisive battle to end the Wars of Roses are underway.

So finally, the announcement that crashed the Steemit world today . . .

Meet Red Roses narrator Kira Omans!!!

An actress and a fashion model, so we propose four questions for Kira Omans, so that you can get to know her better:

Me - As an actress, what's your favorite role so far?

Kira - I usually work on action films, which are always my favorite! I love playing strong female leads that know how to fight. Last summer, though, I was the lead in a romantic comedy, which was a wonderful role with a stellar cast and crew. That has been my favorite role so far!

Me - What did winning Pacific Miss Asian American in 2015 mean to you?

Kira - Winning Pacific Miss Asian American was a game changer for me. This title gave me a public platform to launch advocacy for adoptees, and it taught me priceless life skills that have advanced my professional career. Becoming a spokesperson for the Asian American community also made me a role model for young girls, which has been the most gratifying aspect for me.

Me - As a 3rd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do you've proven yourself. What drives you to master Tae Kwon Do?

Kira - From a young age, I have been taught to challenge myself and achieve my goals. Tae Kwon Do is a journey of mental strength as much as a physical one. My drive to master this martial art is due to my love and respect for it as well as the mental and physical benefits a life as a martial artist has brought me.

Me - You're an advocate for adoptees. Why is this issue so important? And how can people help?

Kira - Adoptees are underrepresented in mainstream media, and we make up an important portion of the population. Often times, adoptees feel isolated and face issues in belonging and identity. As part of this community, it is important to me to support and learn from my fellow adoptees to be a more educated advocate and a more empathetic person.

Kira’s reading of Red Roses can be described as “absolutely amazing”.

Please accept my submission of Red Roses the audiobook for review in AudioFile magazine.
Red Roses just got produced on ACX, and I’m really happy with Kira Omans reading. Hope that you enjoy this tale about the Wars of Roses, a very popular period in England’s past.

The story focuses on King Richard III. As a member of the Richard III Society we’ve been charged with creating content that gives a more positive portrayal of this former monarch. As you may have already heard, his remains were found in a parking lot 527 years after his death. Richard III, given all the pageantry of a King’s burial, only three years ago today, at Leicester Cathedral.

And while Kira Omans delivers Richard III’s speeches in Red Roses as a 3rd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, she’s also a beauty pageant winner, and her reading of the Lady of Berwickshire brings tears to the eyes, while the heart pounds in thy chest.
