I came back from São Martinho do Porto and after spending some time in São João da Madeira, here i am again, in Porto.
At the time i was there, São Martinho do Porto felt like a slow and calm place, despite having a wonderful beach and lots of tourism. Going to the beach in the end of summer is always a good plan, if the cold evenings are not a problem for you.
In São João da Madeira, i recited a poem in a poetry night, and i remembered my grandfather again, when some of the elders had their turn, reciting poems that delve into things like friendship, losing someone, storms and our existence. My grandpa was not so much into poetry, but he was always singing, and taught me to love music and arts. It felt quite amazing to choose a random poem by Guerra Junqueiro and try to interpret it in front of everyone there. It was also great to listen to different interpretations.
Now, autumn officialy starts in Portugal. The falling leaves can never be a cliché. I should probably buy myself a new umbrella (since i don't have one).
