I got some positive feedback and interest from producers for my screenplay of '59.
I was told that because it's a series the studios thought it would be too big a risk to launch a new franchise - as they termed it.
So I decided to try something to build an audience for the story, and grab the attention of studios.

Go With What's Big!
Film studios seemed to be snapping up anything and everything based on a graphic novel: So I decided to create my own, and build a (hopefully) loyal following
I'm going to show my design concepts and the process of creating them in this series of posts.
The first problem of course was finding the look and feel of the characters and the story's world.
This was a difficult process that took me many months, but finally I found the artists I needed; and for that I want to say:
In this series of drawings, Anna has captured brilliantly the personality and look of the central character, Janine Lewis,
Impish
Mischievous.
Insolent.
The “So what” attitude.
The bottom right hand image is an early attempt at drawing Janine’s mother, Cindy.
Here's Anna's vision of Janine’s father, Donald, the mission commander. A 57 year old Scot.
I envisioned Liam Neeson playing him in the film - I kinow he's Irish
I've kept in touch with the girls since they left college;
Anna's moved to the East Yorks coast, and settled down with a baby.
Kelsey's busy doing her own designs, and you can see them on her site
I'll be back tomorrow with more concepts and further info
