"Sirgel"
Episode 2
It was a little more than half a day when Gabriel the cleric of Lemystral, Jaidern the explorer, Sart the good minstrel, Corberts the barbarian and Yannmir the one who walks among shadows arrive at the open doors of a town that surely should be "Sirgel" already that is the only one they found by following the path that the friendly carters indicated to them; Sirgel was a large town, protected by a wooden wall made of no more than two or two scary meters, the buildings were simple wooden houses with red-colored roofs as far as they could see. When the group passes through the open doors, a peasant dressed in a padded armor and an old sword comes out to meet them and stops them standing in the middle of the road while raising his right hand and saying with a voice that tried to sound like authority.
-High travelers! They are at the north gate of Sirgel and if they want to pass they must identify themselves or they will be stopped immediately! -
Jaidern approaches Gabriel and whispers to him - at least we are sure that we arrived at Sirgel-
Sart who with his fine ear hears the words of Jaidern, smiles and decides to mediate with the peasant disguised as a tough guard, advances to face the guard and makes an exaggerated tilt while he takes off his hat and then with a flattering voice says "Greetings my intimidating guard of the north door of Sirgel, let me introduce myself, I am Sart the troubadour of the moon, phallus of the court of the kings of the east, juggler, singer, cook, innkeeper, judge of peace, scribe and sometimes a fighter of justice , which is why I introduce your intimidating figure with respect and humility to ask him to let me and my group follow my orders, since the reason for being in his beautiful and luxurious town is because we are after the persecution of a dangerous miscreant who killed a poor man with impunity, with his pregnant wife and his newborn son- while Sart continued with his speech that could take hours, Jaidern whispers back to Gabriel.

  • Once again he presented himself as the leader of the group, I hope it does not end like the last time-
The innocent guard at the door, hearing the amount of titles that Sart had, had no choice but to lean over and change his tone of voice to a more humble one. "Excuse me, Mr. Sart, I did not know you were such an important person. - While the guard spoke, Sart turned a little to see his group and bite the eye, the whole group covered a mocking smile as it was very funny to see how good Sart almost always got what he wanted, -I hope he knows how to apologize, but with great respect I ask Mr. Sart to allow me the honor of signing the ticket book-
-It will not be necessary my good friend ... -
-Of course it is necessary- interrupts Gabriel to the speech of his fellow minstrel, -If my leader Sart allows me to sign the book of the record-
Sart turns to see Gabriel while he makes a gesture with the face of not understanding why he wants to waste time with a boring check-in, but without giving further explanations Gabriel Lemystral's clergyman approaches the improvised guard of the door and he kindly asks him to guide him to sign his happy record, when Gabriel and the guard move towards a small tent where there was a table with what looked like several loose leaves held by a stone so that the wind would not take them away and a bottle with ink accompanied with a pen, Sart approaches the group and asks them -What's wrong with Gabriel? Why waste time with a record? -
Yannmir shakes his head from side to side in an attitude of fatigue as he would have to explain to Sart Gabriel's reasons for wanting to go to sign the record, -Well, Sart, if he goes and signs the record that you think he will find above. the brand of the group? -
"The stone that holds the papers?" The minstrel answers doubtfully as he looks nervously at Corberts to confirm if his answer was correct, to which Corberts replies negatively with his head.
Yannmir holds his head somewhat frustrated to hear the response of his partner, Yannmir could not understand how Sart was so ready to invent ridiculous stories and so gross for the rest, to kisses wondered how he could walk and breathe at the same time without falling, Yannmir was about to insult, as usual, the clueless minstrel when he heard Gabriel's voice.
-Yes, they registered- Gabriel's words encouraged the group to see that his ex-partner, thief and murderer of one of his comrades was in town, well almost everyone was encouraged as Yannmir did not want a confrontation with the man he loved, "Duty is first" was said to give encouragement. - Percent - continues Gabriel speaking - we have to pay a tax to enter the town-
-What? - Says offended Sart -It's a steal, let me talk to that guard-
Gabriel stops him as he says -the laws of this town and our group honors the laws, remember-
Sart takes a deep breath to resign himself and extends his hand to Yannmir to be given the tax, Yannmir responds -Remember that they took the chest with all our money? - Sart to hear the news "Again", is surprised and crosses his arms in a very annoying attitude.
Gabriel looks at the whole group looking for who can give to pay the entrance tax and receives a refusal since in the chest that Lornar had stolen was all the bottom of the group, Gabriel sighed resigned while he looks at Yannmir, Yannmir nods affirmatively and then goes to "Pay the tax"; Gabriel did not like to resort to the bad tricks of Yannmir but if they recovered the chest and caught Lornar, he would pay the tax with extra in the form of apologies.
Yannmir approached the guard smiling coquettishly and he blushed, then the crafty girl asked him with a very sensual tone of voice - are you married? - to which the guard responded by shaking his head energetically, then Yannmir's coquette spikes One eye while I was telling him - it's the best news I've been given in a long time. Smart, strong men like you should not be of one woman-the innocent guard without words and very blushing takes off his distressed gaze to admire the beautiful body of the attractive woman who was insinuating himself; when Yannmir sees that the peasant disguised as a guard looks away, the sharp eye of this one discovers a small sack that surely was of coins and he steals it with such an amazing speed that when the young man decides to arm himself with courage to see the coquettish woman , she had nothing in her hands.
The guard clears his throat to put a thick, manly voice and says, "My lady, to ..."
    -Day my exemplary hair-
The guard tries to tell him something-to ..., well ..., I have to ..., to ..., charge-and smiles at him sadly.
-Don't worry about my stallion, do you tell me how much it is? - he asks, since at the rate they were going that fool would take all afternoon to charge him.
    -one of ..., copper-
Yannmir boldly takes the bag of coins that I steal from the innocent guard, pulls a silver coin, gives it to him and says, "Stay with the turn, my stallion." Yannmir said that he turns around and once he gives him the back to the guard makes a face of genuine disgust, he goes to meet his group and when he gets up the thumb of his left hand, everyone does not dare to see the face of the poor unfortunate who surely was in love with Yannmir; well everyone except Sart who says goodbye to the poor guard cuts mind and then laughs to see the silly face he had.
Gabriel led the others to the center of the town, about five or six streets in a straight line, then I look to the right of the street and then to the left, -it's not going to make it simple, the town is not so small after all-
    -this medium abandoned- says Jaidern.
Gabriel looks up and between closes his eyes when noticing that the sun was just above them, -not that this half abandoned, it's time to have lunch and surely some will take a nap-
-Well, what now? - Yannmir asks, looking in all directions.
Gabriel scratches his head in a characteristic gesture when he is thinking about the best way to solve a problem, after a short while Lemystral's cleric makes the best decision he considers the best one, -we have to separate, Sart and I will go to the right for this street that seems the main one to look for some inn- Gabriel reaches the hand to Yannmir and this one gives the coin sack of the innocent guard that robbed in the north door of Sirgelseparacion.jpg
-Jaidern and Corberts go for the Left, see if there are more inns and check if Sirgel has another entrance, if they find Lornar- Gabriel pauses to accentuate the next thing he will say -Let him submit, do not kill him, is it perfectly clear ? - the explorer and the barbarian nod, then turns to talk to Yannmir, -is the same order, unlike if you meet Lornar tell us, I'll be in the first inn you find on this street- Yannmir nods.
-I do not agree Gabriel with Yannmir walking alone- protests Jaidern.
-she moves better alone, be well- Gabriel replies-
-I do not mean that and you know, my friend-
Yannmir gets upset with Jaidern's insinuations and raises his voice to demand "Why do not you tell me in front?" He takes a step forward to show that he did not fear the explorer -from what happened, you have not stopped recriminating me Do you think I'm going to betray you for my brother's killer?
  • NO! - Jaidern says in a firm voice to then tell what he thought to his partner - You are a woman in a world of men! And the heart of women is weak, without discipline and very easy to cheat! -
"I knew it" thinks Yannmir as he faces Jaidern and then says "do you think that because I'm a woman I can not do the right thing when I meet the man my husband was going to do?"
-I believe it! - Jaidern answers coldly.
Yannmir, upon receiving such a simple and frank response from his fellow adventurer, does not know how to respond to him since he was very angry, and deeply saddened to discover that despite many years together, fighting shoulder to shoulder to survive innumerable dangers, Jaidern the explorer still considered her, unworthy of her confidence, her eyes filled with tears that could not contain any pain, she was about to insult her fellow Jaidern when Gabriel intervened before he got out of control.
-Jaidern! Yannmir !, it's not the time or the place- it speaks with its strong and characteristic tone of the leader of the group - I trust the two equally, and if I made the decision that Yannmir was alone it's because I know it's the best decision What can I take, trust that he will do the right thing if he meets Lornar, and if he does not? - He pauses and looks very seriously at Yannmir - we would follow you to the end of the world and make you pay for your betrayal-
With those menacing words, Gabriel the cleric of Lemystral the goddess of magic calmed everyone and left something very clear since everyone knew Gabriel and knew that he was not the type of people who threatened to do it, Gabriel fulfilled what he promised and It was one of the main reasons why everyone in the group followed him and decided that he was the leader of "The Defenders".
Clarified everything, Gabriel went with Sart without saying anything else, the others in silence obeyed the order of their leader to separate and look for the traitor of Lornar in different directions of the town of Sirgel.
