When life hits hard, the story of the eagle!

لَا يُكَلِّفُ اللَّهُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا
Hope you have seen the above strange-looking string of characters. Wwell, that is Arabic as am sure you might have noticed but I shall talk about it later on in this article!

In the meantime lets take a look at some real issues of life and see the different perspectives that has the potential to make life much easy for us....

I once had this friend of mine back in basic school who was so high in confidence that he never saw anything wrong with himself. In fact, he had the wits of making people leave their mansion to come sleep in his hat....
Well, not literally!

He was not very brilliant but anytime he failed an exam, he would say things that would make failing sound cool.... "I just wanted to see how it feels like to fail an exam", "well, I think I might have understood the concept better than the teacher" and so on.
His attitude though infuriated others, still made it fun to be around him because with him, there was no reason to be bitter.

You might not have known my friend but I'm sure you are familiar with Ibrahimovic, the player that never lacks confidence.

The confidence Ibrahimovic has comes from nothing but how he chooses to look at himself. When C. Ronaldo or Messi is chosen as the world best player he still sees himself as the all time best and says he doesn't need anyone telling him that.

when he came to England you would recall that he was once asked by a sports journalist as to who was the best striker of the time. At that time he himself was a striker but obviously age had caught up with him and he was not at his best. Ibrahimovic mentioned a couple of players and then the journalist probed further, asking how about himself.

Everyone would think it was going to be an embarrassing moment for him. But Ibramovic smiled and said, " You don't compare a lion with humans".

He turned the whole situation to his advantage by simply looking at it in a different way. Obviously he was not the best at that time and what he said did not change that fact but it made him look even greater!

That scenario defines exactly the behavior of the eagle during a storm.

When the eagle senses a storm coming, it will fly to some high spot and wait for the winds to come.

When the storm finally hits, it sets its wings so that the wind will pick it up and lift it above the storm. While the storm rages below, the eagle is soaring above it.

The eagle does not escape the storm. It simply uses the storm to lift it higher. It rises on the winds that bring the storm.

What do you do when life hits hard at you? Do you shrug into a shell and throw blames at people or you try to find intelligent ways of handling it?

Sometimes what may seem like a problem is actually an opportunity. The entrepreneurs will tell you that when you get so thirsty, and then you manage to get water for yourself, try to get the water for others and you have a business.

The simple rule in life is that there is no problem without a solution and this is where our Arabic text comes in. The text in the beginning of this article is a Quranic quotation from chapter 2, verse 286.
It translates as “Allah does not burden a soul beyond that it can bear…” which means that for every difficulty, there is a solution and this I think is the essence of living.

I don't think we would enjoy life very much without problems. If life was just about eating and sleeping, mankind would have been bored to death faster than we came. So the next time you are faced with difficulties, remember that it is just a storm, you can chose to remain under and get suffocated or you can chose to be like the eagle and fly high above it see the beauty of life......
