Most ships drift in the North Atlantic. It happens that the current brings them to shore, and sometimes it causes marine accidents at night.
"MARLBORO"
In 1913, the English steamer Johnson met a drifting sailboat on the way. Porus and masts were covered with mold. It turned out that the crew did not leave the ship. On the bridge, at the helm and in the cabins, more than 20 skeletons were found. Ship documents and cargo rotted at the time of finding the vessel.
In the course of the investigation, it was possible to establish that the vessel in 1890 was traveling from New Zealand to London and disappeared in the Pacific Ocean. Onboard were 29 crew members and 1 passenger.
It turns out that for 23 years no one stumbled upon it. The circumstances of the ship’s death were not revealed.
Motor ship "JOYTA"
Went out on October 3, 1955 from Western Samoa, but did not arrive at the port of destination. Searches were carried out with the participation of helicopters and airplanes. But the ship was accidentally discovered only a month later near the island of Fiji. The crew and passengers were absent.
The most plausible version of the death was the hypothesis of the attack of pirates.
