TALES OF THE END (Choices Of Reckoning ) PART 2

2 weeks ago in Damien’s lab, the experiments he was working on had hit the jackpot as he saw that he had created a cure for the VIXEN’S virus. A virus that spreads throw water particles infecting the source of their water. He walked closer to the staff’s exist as Angela, his female assistant and companion in which he had an intimate relationship with.

He was excited to see her as he felt the need to tell her about his cure, but it seemed she also was rather anxious to tell him about something too. Before he could say anything to her, she held his hand and dragged him to their information screen. Mr. Jordan “the head of their company” was in charge of the news info as he indicated that the news wasn’t the good type and that a nuclear bomb has already been set off in their city and it was on a countdown. Damien was shocked as he rounded up all the workers and gave them the news as well.

The panic in the hall was already overwhelming until Angela came up with an idea to save the 65.7% of the whole town as she couldn’t save everyone. Her plan was to use their big spaceship to relocate the population to a save island at the far ends of the earth. And while she was working on the idea Damien was to find a way to diffuse the bomb just in time to save the remaining 34.3% population. For the next two weeks the plan was going well as they anticipated. Mr. Jordan had the helicopter at the top of the building for their own escape as today was the D-day the day the bomb will set off.

Damien was to access the remote at the top of the building by access the codes at the top to diffuse the bomb from reaching the city. Damien sent Angela to the top to escape with the rest that he will catch up, as he didn’t want her to be harmed. For the next two minutes he was charging up the remote as he saw the countdown 2 mins and counting….. He heard Angela’s voice screaming from the top of the building. He ran as fast as his legs could carry, but when he got there she was barely holding on to the edge of the building’s iron. Damien ran swiftly to help her get up, Mr. Jordan and beck his associate kept shouting to Damien from the helicopter right above them to forget her and diffuse the bomb as it was about a minute to spare. Damien looked at the device to diffuse the bomb one more time before looking back at Angela who was also telling him to forget her. He had to decide on what to do because at this time, he only had 30 more seconds.

He summed up courage and strength as he dragged Angela up throwing her to the helicopter… that split second in whichever case one Angela’s body touched the helicopter and Damien’s body hit the ground the bomb went off.
As he could see the bright light so bright he slowed down a little when he ran. Remembering that he was going to alpha. His thought was over his choice was made, he looked far as he prayed he’d meet Angela along with the rest.
