life in a mexican prison #1

Hello everyone it's my first steem post and i want to share a story with you that maybe would or will be hard to believe i've been working in a mexican prison for about 3 years now and trust me what you see in here goes way beyond what you might of heard or seen in any movie like get the gringo( if you haven't seen the movie watch it! you'll understand what i mean).

So here's the thing mexico is corrupt to the core but you already know that but the funny thing is that you can hear the government speak marvels and glories about their prisons which is a lie go figure, but that's boring right you want the good stuff. As i said i've worked here as a psychologist for 3 years and i'm in charge for their mental and emotional stability but the thing is i can't do that for some reason i am not allowed to do my job properly and that for me it's annoying as hell and before you ask no i cant complain to my superiors because thats breaking the rules and i will get fired if they go easy on me or will be charged with some made up crime like selling drugs to the inmates or some jazz. what i do instead is "roll" with it but listen to the guys (inmates) and help them however i can fortunately say the guys appreciate what i do for them and their behavior is getting better besides doing so little work.

Now have you heard some stories that there's prostitution in the prisons in mexico or drug dealing or money laundry or even sex tents during family visitations? well guess what...... these are all true! all of them and yes even the one you are thinking about right now, my objective is not to bad mouth the prisons or anything like that i want to help the inmates, and if you can help every bit that is earned will be given to them as personal hygiene items that the need so much and for those that need shoes or even specific medicine like insulin would mean the world to them and for me as well, even whatever is earned can be used to buy sport supplies like soccer balls or boxing gloves.

In exchange for the upvotes i will tell some crazy stories i've seen and heard in here i'll give you a small one.
In here there are a couple gay inmates for reason's i won't give the real names but their artistic names instead; Melissa, Fatima, Guadalupe and Perla, these guys are not young repeat NOT YOUNG they are around 40ish years all of them, they use makeup bras and oh god my eyes thongs i swear thongs don't ask what kind i don't know and don't want to i already have to many mental image scars as it is jajaja; so going on as you might have guessed these "men" (don't get offended just go with it) prostitute themselves in the cell area for 50 pesos or 3 us dollars, Perla had a boyfriend who didn't allow her to do this and the funny thing is that i knew who he was and once asked him if he was gay and all manly said no i will translate what he said "i am not gay i hate gay men they are an abomination and they need god" those were his words but like i said he has the boyfriend of Perla so yeah i had to contain my laughter and when he left i just couldn't hold it after a while Perla was all sad because his boyfriend was leaving and asked for couples therapy so it happend it's my job after all. Imagine this guy's face when he entered my office after what he said to me about not being gay it was hilarious how o felt ashamed and the best part was that Perla scolded him so you can guess who the "man" of the relationship was; the relationship got fixed and kept that way until the boyfriend left, but that my friends is a story i will tell later if you like this i will keep them coming for you i have many stories to tell trust me see you later.
